During the 2nd Generation of the Pokemon franchise’s main series games, there were quite a few updates and additions to other forms of media as well. One of those was the Pokemon Trading Card Game, which received new types and card variants, such as Light and Dark Pokemon. Dark Pokemon, which should not be confused with Dark-type Pokemon, are pocket monsters who have turned to the shadier side of things, almost always due to their trainer being such a character themselves....

Everybody’s favorite prison construction simulator is returning with a new tune up for would-be-wardens. Coming next month, Prison Architect is getting a new expansion for those looking to get more out of their detention centers. Announced via press release, Prison Architect is getting a whole set of new content in an expansion package. “Cleared for Transfer” is an entirely free update that will be available to all owners of Prison Architect on PC on May 14th....

It looks like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is preparing for its Halloween event. Today, PUBG Corp. provided a short tease to prepare players for all of the spooky fun to come. The news comes straight from the official PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Twitter account, where a very brief video clip was posted. In it, we see a player in a Silent Hill-esque nurse outfit running from a character in a creepy clown getup, while another machete-wielding character stalks the area....

The conceit of every We Were Here adventure puzzle game is always the same. You play as two adventurers lost in the Arctic, or the Antarctic, or someplace with a lot of snow and not a lot of reason to expose bare skin. Rainbow Six Siege is doing something that few other games can do six years after release: grow its player base. According to SteamDB, Rainbow Six Siege recently hit a new all-time high in terms of concurrent players. Last Saturday at 10:30 AM EST (14:30 UTC), there were 201,053 people playing Siege. Not too long ago, files found in the official companion app for Red Dead Redemption 2 suggested that the open world western’s forthcoming multiplayer component, Red Dead Online, would feature Adversary Modes and “seamless PvE”. Now, it looks as if even more information has come out of the aforementioned leak, as some file names that have been discovered are potentially pointing to Rockstar implementing VR support for RDR2 at some point....

There once was a time when Killzone was one of Sony’s top gaming franchises. The eighth-generation Pokémon games, Sword and Shield, brought back the well-received regional form changes that were first introduced in Sun and Moon, giving older Pokémon like Weezing and Ponyta a new lease on life. One of those given a makeover for the newest region was a creepy little Ghost-type Pokémon called Yamask. Doing away with the sarcophagus and Egyptian motifs, the new and improved Yamask took inspiration from western ruins such as stone henge, a trend that follows into the story and much of the architecture in Galar as well....

Nintendo has unveiled some brand new Pokémon merch with its latest, a Gengar backpack. It’s 10.5 inches wide, one foot tall, and costs $32. You can fold the straps in and turn it into a plushy, too. The backpack compartment is found on its back, fittingly. You rip open Gengar like Han Solo and the tauntaun to stuff whatever you want in him. Just don’t crawl in. Or do - it’s up to you....
