Just yesterday, Rockstar Games revealed a brand new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer. As fans steadily pick the new footage apart to learn more about its characters (including new protagonist Arthur Morgan), eagle-eyed viewers have discovered that it includes an homage to a high-profile cowboy movie. In the comparison gif below, fans can see that the new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer borrows a shot from The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford....

It’s been five months since Rockstar confirmed and showed off the first trailer for the highly anticipated western, Red Dead Redemption 2. Outside of rumors and potential leaks, news on the title has been virtually non-existent, leaving fans to do some digging on their own. Speculation for the game seems to point to a prequel of sorts, showing John Marston during his time with his former associates like Dutch and Bill Williamson....

While everyone initially played Rockstar Games’ cowboy epic to experience the outlaw simulator that was Red Dead Redemption 2, but the game’s subtlety, dedication to loneliness and expanse was sometimes seen as a knock for the game. Niantic, the studio behind Pokemon Go and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, announced recent efforts to prevent cheaters from infiltrating its games. The most shocking revelation is that more than 5 million punishments have been issued across the developer’s catalog, with 20% of those punishments being permanent bans. That number is staggering – although it pales in comparison to the overall player count of both Pokemon Go and Wizards Unite. There is a bright spot in the report, however, as Niantic revealed more than 90% of users who receive a warning stop cheating without further intervention....

The Pokemon fandom has been getting loads of great news this month as the new DLC for Sword and Shield dropped and a new Pokemon Snap was announced for Switch. Also, the dub of the Pokemon Netflix series released for English speakers, but a slight change has some Pokemon fans a little upset. Pokemon Journeys was not available in the US until the 12th of June, even though it’s been available in Japanese since November of last year....

Pokemon has been doing the same thing for far too long and has somehow managed to get away with it. I know we all complain when unadventurous sequels are turned out and nonsense like #BoycottPokemon trends for a few days whenever we get a ‘meh’ reveal, but we all go and buy it anyway. New Pokemon games always top the charts and make bucket loads of money, so why would Nintendo bother changing its tried-and-tested formula?...

Now, less than a month into 2016, it seems like this year is also shaping up to be a strong year for the franchise with three of the old Star Wars PlayStation 2 titles announced to be coming to the PS4....

After months of waiting, both Sony and Microsoft have confirmed prices and release dates for the ninth generation of gaming consoles. During a year that by all accounts has been very strange for video games and the rest of the world, it’s almost surprising both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are coming out on time. Especially Sony, who’d been the subject of various rumors and leaks during the console’s development....

As innovation and technology continue to rise in the gaming industry, so too does the possibility of many gaming peripherals. The releases of the Xbox One adaptive controller and even the back button attachment for the PS4 controller speak volumes for when it comes to getting games in as many hands as possible, as comfortably as possible. As such, it’s worth wondering how the PS5 and Xbox Series X attempt to get this message across, and so far, it seems neither company has in full....

The mobile edition of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, more commonly referred to as PUBG Mobile, has officially added power armor to the game. The update was announced in a tweet from the official PUBG Mobile account that promises the armor will be turbocharged, heavily plated, and downright stylish. The Mobile version of PUBG was released in 2018, shortly after the release of the PC and console edition, and shows no signs of slowing down....

Borderlands 2 has a great many skills across six different character classes. There are skills that may not be as effective as others, but they serve a purpose. Then there are the ones that are just outright bad despite having really unique and interesting descriptions. You may look at that one skill and think, “Wow! That’s really badass.” Then once you eventually use that skill, you immediately want to respec your character and never think about it again....
