It may feel like Pokemon GO’s June Community Day just wrapped up, but trainers are already looking ahead to July. Yesterday Pokemon GO fans received confirmation that the upcoming event would be Squirtle-themed and today trainers can take an early look at what the shiny version of the water-type starter will look like. Although Niantic has made a habit of not confirming shiny appearances of Community Day pokemon before the event starts, it’s become tradition to hunt down the shiny variants during each of the monthly events....

“Star Trek” fans will want to exit warp speed and head for the nearest starbase on July 11th for the all-day live streaming event Day of Honor hosted on the Queue Times Twitch channel. The Day of Honor is being organized by Star Trek Online, Modiphius, Eaglemoss, and the Streampunks, and will be focused on honoring the Klingons of “Star Trek” canon. Multiple “Star Trek” alumni, video and tabletop game producers and creators, and RPG live play stars will be hosting panels on “Star Trek” and Klingon lore, products, updates, and roleplaying across a variety of “Star Trek” mediums....

Bioware’s Anthem has proven to be quite the headache where bugs and connection issues are concerned. The game’s demo saw to the realization that many things needed addressing, but it’s since been brought to the attention of players that the final mission could be reached in little to no time. The legal saga that has dogged Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford was brought into the spotlight when former Claptrap voice actor David Eddings revealed that he would not reprise his role as the franchise’s lovable robot mascot. In a series of tweets, Eddings accused Pitchford if siphoning away company funds intended as a bonus for Gearbox employees and instead diverting them to his personal accounts....

A Reddit user did some research and realized that Marvel Studios plans to put out some kind of TV episode or movie every week from now until the end of 2021. It turns out Martin Scorsese was right when he went on that whole rant about modern entertainment brands pumping out content, but that shouldn’t stop Marvel fans from having a good time. If estimated release dates and season lengths are true, Marvel Studios has enough Disney+ shows and movies to keep us entertained all year....

The league will partner with gaming publishers in an effort to discover new talent, as well as, help students develop esports careers.
