This was largely in part to the series being considered niche, and the fact that publisher Atlus had a rough time publishing the games outside of Japan and North America. In the past decade however, thanks to major releases such as Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5, the Persona series has gone on to become one of the biggest and most influential JRPG franchises on the planet, and thanks to this success, Atlus has now reported that recent titles such as Persona 5 Royal and the currently Japanese-only Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers have both succeeded the company’s sales expectations during its last fiscal year....

Following the unveiling of a new climbing and vaulting feature two weeks ago, Bluehole will soon introduce more changes to its popular multiplayer online title PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, such as a fix for an item spawn bug, some balance changes to the game’s loot balance system, and two new weapons. Colloquially titled the “loot balance - first pass” patch, the upcoming PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update fixes a bug where some items spawned more or less than intended....

Earlier this week, SemiAccurate reported that they had received leaked specs of Sony’s PlayStation 5, which led them to speculate that the console may have a late 2018 or early 2019 release date. It seems that not all industry analysts agree with this prediction. Following the publication of SemiAccurate’s report, video game news site Wccftech asked Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter about the likelihood of the PlayStation 5 being released this year....

In an interview with Naver (via Gamesindustry.biz), Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan seemingly made a bold prediction when he stated that Sony believes the PS5 will “sell more in its first fiscal year than [we] sold in the first fiscal year at the time of [the] PS4 launch.” It’s worth reiterating that Ryan’s quote does come via a translation. While the translation appears to be reliable, this would hardly be the first time that even a reliable translation misses some subtlety that changes the meaning of a statement....

Despite PlayStation revealing its next-generation PS5 console, many fans have been wondering how much it will cost and how big it is going to be. Although PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan offered insight on why no price was listed during the reveal, no word on the console’s size or dimensions were mentioned, causing a number of fans to guess and even create mockups that compare the PS5 to other PS and Xbox consoles....

Bug-type Pokémon are considered to be some of the weakest creatures in the Pokémon franchise because they don’t usually have high stats, and their attacks are weaker compared to other Pokémon, such as Psychic-type and Fire-type. That said, there are some Bug-type Pokémon that are extremely deadly, either due to a secondary type or a body structure that allows them to attack prey with strong moves. An example of this power can be seen in Scyther, whose sharp claws and fast movements that allow it to defeat most Pokémon with ease despite its weaker Bug-typing....

Niantic has released updates to Pokemon GO on a near-constant basis since the game’s debut. The latest batch of additions has arrived in Pokemon GO and trainers have 23 new monsters to track down and add to their collections. After just a day of hunting and digging through the code, players have now confirmed all 23 new additions. As it usually does, Niantic released an image associated with the new Pokemon GO additions that left some air of mystery surrounding the full lineup of new creatures....

In light of the legendary week Raid Battles event, Pokemon GO has announced a special egg event for players who meet a certain goal before March 5th. If players meet the goal before the due date, they can look forward to Pokemon that prefer windy weather being more likely to hatch from eggs starting on March 5th. In order to unlock this special egg event, players need to defeat the legendary Pokemon Rayquaza more than Kyogre and Groudon (combined) by March 5th....

Players around the world are ready to take advantage of the bonuses, including some recently announced shiny spawns, and collect a ton of Dratini.
