CD Projekt Red (CDPR) isn’t just in hot water with fans when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, as they are facing multiple lawsuits and the ire of the Polish government. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) is monitoring CDPR’s work on patches for the game, and if they fail to deliver, they could be fined up to 10% of their income from 2020. UOKiK answers directly to the Prime Minister of Poland and its main goal is to protect the interests of the consumer....

A collection of over one million accounts for Stalker Online containing private information is claimed to have been sold to hackers on the dark web. Stalker Online is a post-apocalyptic MMO that’s popular in Russia, Eastern Europe, and some circles in the US. This third-person post-apocalyptic MMO is seen as a spiritual successor to the popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise. Since the first server went online in 2012 it’s slowly built up a dedicated fanbase with millions of accounts....

Netflix’s dedication to bringing original anime content to the platform is not wavering, and the company has now confirmed the stars of the upcoming Netflix Original Anime series Trese, based on the Philippine comic of the same name. PUBG Corp. announced a surprising decision today regarding the upcoming release of the newest map for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Sanhok, PUBG’s first 4-kilometer by 4-kilometer “Mini Royale” map, will not feature skill-based matchmaking. Instead, all players, regardless of experience levels, will be lumped into the same queue and compete against veteran and newcomer alike. Sanhok goes live in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PC starting June 22. The reasons behind the decision aren’t technical....

In the first Rage video game, players were often given a second chance at life if they died during one of its missions thanks to the defibrillator. After dying, Rage players could complete a short mini-game to not only bring themselves back to life, but electrify any nearby enemies, and as it turns out, the defibrillator returns for Rage 2. However, one key difference between the first Rage and Rage 2 is that in the sequel, players have to unlock the defibrillator before they can use it....

It’s something of a surprise that the Ratchet & Clank series hasn’t had that many memes dedicated to it. It’s been a long time coming, but the spiritual sequel/follow-up to the massive JRPG Persona 5 is finally coming west in 2021. Persona 5 Strikers, after releasing for a year in Japan as Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, finally confirms the English dub is complete and coming this February. While complications with the pandemic forced the English cast to record from home, the team was able to prepare a western release a year after the Japanese release....
