The Pokémon franchise is globally beloved but becomes pretty divisive when fans begin to discuss their favorite types. Often Fire and Dragon-types reign supreme in terms of popularity and things like Electric and Water-types fall somewhere in the middle and can be pretty hit or miss. Most fans are familiar with how Pokémon normally look, but unless you’re a shiny hunter, the rarer colorations often get lost in the mix. Pokemon is one of the most popular entertainment properties in the world. It is even the most profitable of all time. Fans the world over fawn over the animated creatures. Despite releasing two expansions for Pokemon Sword & Shield since its release, the Pokemon Company has still managed to leave out a fair number of Pokemon from the National Pokedex. If you ask me, the Mortal Kombat DLC characters are getting a little bit ridiculous. I understand that it’s cool to have characters from movies, but it all just seems a bit random and pointless to me. Rambo being in there only shows how far the Rambo franchise has moved from being “soldiers will always carry the trauma of war with them” to “fuck yeah I love war,” and in general the DLC characters just feel a bit naff and Fortnite-y, don’t they?...

Pyra and Mythra will be playable in Smash Ultimate later today, or in the early hours of tomorrow depending on where you are in the world. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai showed off exactly what you can expect from the newest fighter Pyra/Mythra today during a lengthy presentation. The best news of all came towards the end of the stream when Sakurai revealed the new fighter will be officially added to the roster later today....

Raft has been a success since it hit Steam Early Access in May 2018. While the game did not end up on Metacritic’s top ten games of the decade list, the Steam forum sings its praises, using words like “perfectly balanced” and “challenging enough” when describing the sea-based co-op friendly game. Its objective is simple enough; build a raft, improve said raft, and sail the seas to explore the storyline — all while avoiding getting eaten by the Great White circling the raft 24/7....

Ouya made serious headlines back in 2012 when the Android video game console nabbed $8.5 million in crowdfunding from Kickstarter. This week, Rockstar Games finally revealed details regarding the Red Dead Redemption 2 story. The developer confirmed that the game will focus on Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as the wild west era winds down. During a recent preview event for Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar showed off one such example of the gang putting its skills to good use. Arthur, along with Van der Linde gang members Lenny, Karen, and Bill Williamson, head to a location called Valentine with plans to pull off a bank heist....

Blizzard’s eSports initiative, the Overwatch League, could make up to $720 million a year says a new report. Announced last year, the the game’s eSports League aims to copy the NBA, the NFL, and other traditional sports leagues by establishing regional fan bases with teams in different cities. According to a new report from investment management firm Morgan Stanley, the Overwatch League could make a base amount of $100 million a year....

Persona is quite the series for many people. Responsible for bringing fresh style to the genre, many have been introduced to the series thanks to the recent Persona 5. However, for series veterans, they have often claimed to have their own favorites that they deemed to be the best in the series. With two protagonists, in particular, is the most well regarded by many. Outside of favorites such as Persona 3’s Makoto Yuki or Persona 5’s Joker, Yu Narukami from Persona 4 and Tatsuya Suou from Persona 2 are often beloved by many....

Persona 5 is a game with so many choices to tailor to each player’s experience throughout the story, and this is only accelerated by all the new content that came with Royal. This includes how the whole story comes to a close, with six possible endings that players lead themselves down. Naturally, the worst endings are the easiest to come by, having players strenuously searching for the path to a happy one....

Several Persona domains have been renewed including one for P5U, which is presumed to be Persona 5 Arena. As reported by Persona Central, Atlus has recently renewed and dismissed several different domains related to Persona, which could give us a hint at games coming up in the franchise. For some context on these domains, Atlus originally registered them back in 2017 and 2018 and most of them were hints at games that they would later release....
