Whenever you drop into PUBG’s various maps, you generally know what you’re getting into. Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi haven’t really changed much since their inception. New features might be added, like the recent addition of ferries in Erangel, but they didn’t really change the map in any fundamental way. Paramo, however, will be different. PUBG Corp is calling it the game’s “first dynamic map,” although what exactly the word “dynamic” means here is still a matter for debate....

An exciting prospect hit the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds subreddit earlier this week, with a fan sharing an intriguing image that they had located on the game’s test server. The contents of this image gave indication that changes might be on the way to the battle royale shooter’s Erangel map, by way of additional compounds, and PUBG Corporation has now provided official confirmation that this is indeed the case. “As some of you inferred from some recent leaks of a map image, we are working on new ways to balance loot and otherwise improve our maps, Erangel being the first,” the company’s statement begins....

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s trophy list has been revealed online, with Insomniac Games countering by highlighting all of the game’s non-story related trophies. Insomniac Games originally Tweeted to highlight a few of the trophies that could be earned in the game, before the full list was found and shared online. Sony’s incredibly impressive-looking Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be getting a new trailer at gamescom 2020. Industry pundit Geoff Keighley confirmed the news on Twitter and mentioned that this will be a world premiere demo for Insomniac’s long-awaited sequel. James Stevenson, community director at Insomniac, corroborated the news and stated this won’t be a cutdown version like seen during the PS5 reveal event. This is going to be more than a few minutes and will function pretty similarly to an E3 demo walkthrough....

Joker and Akechi’s Showtime attack is unlocked on January 2 while the two are fighting the “Warped Abyss” shadow after Dr. Maruki summons it to attack them. Unlike the other Showtime attacks, which usually require the Phantom Thieves to use Jose’s star and meet up at the group hideout to unlock the ability, the two come up with the attack on the spot after the Warped Abyss heals suddenly. Their resulting attack is certainly the darkest attack of all the Showtimes, as Akechi and Joker are predominantly focused on killing their opponent rather than aesthetics and style....

The Overwatch League’s Philadelphia franchise will be relocating its team to Seoul, South Korea, for the upcoming 2021 OWL season. This decision comes in an effort to protect the players’ health and safety during the ongoing pandemic. The Fusion will compete in the Pacific Conference for the 2021 season. The Fusion announced the news on Twitter last night, saying that the team’s operations “will temporarily relocate to Seoul, South Korea,” for the upcoming Overwatch League season....

The battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues its PC domination with the game selling over 20 million copies as of last month. Even as the game continues to pass new milestones on a consistent basis, new content is on the horizon in an effort to prevent the possibility of losing players to competitors like Fortnite.
