PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is incredibly popular and only just hitting its stride, and it seems as though Microsoft is willing to do whatever it takes to be a part of that. Not only will the online multiplayer battle royale shooter be coming to Xbox One as a console exclusive, at least initially, but Microsoft could even be willing to help with the game’s development, as developer Bluehole may use its partnership with Microsoft to explore using exclusive tech....

Housemarque released its brand-new PlayStation 5-exclusive title Returnal a few days ago, and as a fun marketing ploy for the game, PlayStation Polska asked players to make their own Returnal-inspired helmet. The helmets have to be crafted from whatever materials can be sourced around the house, and winners will get a copy of the game to keep. Last week, PUBG Corporation released a patch for the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds that was meant to nerf vehicles so they weren’t quite so overpowered in the game. Now after listening to some player feedback, the studio has released a new patch that reverts one of the changes. In an effort to make vehicles less deadly in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One, PUBG Corporation made it easier to destroy them, increased the damage players took while crashing in them, and made it harder to get kills by running over enemies....

Last week, the Epic Games Store switched out its free offerings of Metro: Last Light and Dandara for Halycon 6; a sci-fi RPG that sees players build a spaceship and amass a crew to adventure across the galaxy with. Today, the free games on offer have switched once again, with Halcyon 6 now being replaced by two new titles.
