Remember Google Glass? They were the augmented reality glasses that Google tried to make a thing a little while ago. They found some niche uses in industrial applications, but the future where we all started walking around with glasses that displayed virtual images to just us didn’t exactly pan out. But it looks like Niantic hasn’t given up on the dream first envisioned with Google Glass. Niantic CEO John Hanke recently tweeted an image of what appears to be a new set of AR glasses....

It’s finally time for a collection challenge based on my favourite region, thank Arceus. Pokemon Go is having yet another big collection challenge event this week, and this time it features Pokemon that were introduced in the second generation, which was set in the Johto region. Johto changed the Pokemon world for the better, introducing Dark and Steel types, eggs, baby Pokemon, and much more that also heavily influenced the direction of Pokemon Go itself many years later....

With June 20 heralding the 2020 solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shortest in the Southern, various video games have been preparing to celebrate. For instance, Animal Crossing: New Horizons released solstice-themed items for players to buy, and today the 2020 solstice-themed event began in Niantic’s AR mobile game Pokemon GO. The returning solstice event, first held for Pokemon GO in 2017, was announced by Niantic on June 12 and focuses on “Pokemon associated with the sun and moon” such as Sunkern appearing more frequently....

It was recently confirmed that the long-rumored Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is currently in the works. Footage of the remake is apparently scheduled to air during tonight’s Ubisoft Forward event. The news originally comes from Russian website DTF, who took to Twitter in order to share information about the Prince of Persia leak. Several PlayStation 5 users have reported that the console has a bug with its ability to download and queue games and apps. Whenever a user sets a game or app to download, it remains in the downloading queue forever. At the moment, the bug seemingly only affects games and apps with a specific PlayStation 5 version. A few examples of the games and apps the bug affects include Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and even Disney Plus....

After Rockstar released a new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer, fans began to trip all over themselves to search for hidden clues and bits of information about its characters and its gameplay. But some eagle-eyed viewers have also discovered some information (possibly too much information) about the game’s wildlife.
