The gods of the Pillars of Eternity universe are a relatively unique pantheon when compared to the gods of most major fantasy settings. They did not create the world, or the kith (the intelligent species of Eora) but were in fact created by them. Their bodies were built by an ancient culture, the Engwithan’s, and housed with thousands of souls to power them. From there, the gods took up their roles as overlords of the cosmos, guiding the souls of the Kith into new bodies after their deaths, contributing to the Wheel — the continuous cycle of death and rebirth....

One of the biggest games of 2014 is now available for free, albeit for a limited amount of time. Xbox One owners who missed out on BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition when it came out last November can now play the game for free until Monday. It’s the perfect opportunity for interested gamers to try the title before buying it, or to simply enjoy a few hours of a great game without paying a dime....

Without a doubt, the popularity of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to grow, as the title recently managed to reach over 3 million players on Xbox One just about a week ago. Of course, with such a huge pool of gamers flocking to the title, there are bound to be some rotten apples in the bunch, and the development team at PUBG Corp has confirmed just that by revealing its intentions to ban over 100,000 cheaters on the title’s PC version....

Indie game developers have started questioning whether putting their games on PlayStation is worth the trouble. Sony’s reportedly unsatisfactory service towards these developers has caused some of them to speak out in a new report by Push Square. It seems that some of them get better traction while marketing their games on their own rather than going via Sony. This seems baffling, considering PlayStation’s massive reach in the gaming industry. YouTube views for indie game trailers would receive a million views on the developer’s own channels, as opposed to a fractional hundred thousand on the PlayStation channel....

Ice-type Pokémon are a real rarity in the competitive scene. Though some of them are super powerful and boast strong STAB that can dispatch a range of types, they have so many weaknesses in return. Like their rugged friends the Rock-types, they’re often a bit of a liability as a result. Nevertheless, some select Ice Pokémon deserve a slot on your team, and they won’t be too difficult to catch in some cases either....

The newest entry into Pokémon’s ever-growing list of regions is Galar, based on the U.K. and serving as the setting for Sword & Shield. This region is filled to the brim with new features and mechanics, and a ton to see and do, much like the actual U.K. But, like any other region, it comes with its own flaws. No region is perfect, and Galar is not the exception to the rule....

More Galarian forms are coming to Pokémon GO, including the debut of Galarain Stunfisk if the latest teaser is anything to go by. For the past four weeks, Pokémon GO has been celebrating some of its most famous regions. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and the Sinnoh Throwback event which may well have just come to an end as you read this. Each event has featured nine levels of research tasks and given trainers the chance to fill in gaps in the first four generations of their Pokédex....

That means, in addition to the ongoing Research Breakthrough reward, there are also a whole new batch of daily encounter rewards that GO players are able to track down and earn during February… At least, that’s what we thought. Earlier today, Pokemon GO teased its player base with a short, cryptic trailer that showcased Turtwig, Piplup, Chimchar, and Giratina. Of course, the developer Niantic neglected to reveal when these gen 4 Pokémon were coming to the mobile ARG, but many expect it will be soon. This means that the overall Pokedex will expand to 493 entries, with loads of new Pokemon first originating in Sinnoh. Moreover, some of these Pokemon already have pre-evolutions present in Pokémon GO, so players may want to prepare for the forthcoming generation....

Hot air balloons sporting ads for companies like KFC and GrubHub have been floating by in Pokemon Go. Unless you opt to spend money on tickets, incubators, and other items, Pokemon Go is free to play. As is the case with all free-to-play games, you have to expect a few ads. Niantic has to make its money somehow. In fairness, ads are almost non-existent in Pokemon Go and can even be turned off for free....

Project Warlock is a first-person shooter originally released in October of 2018 on PC that is being ported to console this month. This retro-style shooter provides an uncanny Wolfenstein or Doom vibe, with a few more modern era enhancements that let it stand on its own. In addition to very satisfying gunplay carnage, there is also a unique spell system, leveling attribute points, and a perk upgrade system to enhance players’ individual playstyles....

It seems it will well and truly be the best console experience PlayStation users have seen to date, making for a comprehensive and stunning way to play the next slate of must-have video games. This hardware upgrade will also make a significant change to the common frame rate available for most titles, with the PlayStation 5 promising up to 120 FPS on certain releases....

PS5’s recent update appears to have fixed the issue where the console randomly spins whatever disc is in its drive, making a lot of noise in the process. The PS5 might have had a successful launch and has already outsold consoles like the Wii U and Sega’s Dreamcast, but it has not been without its faults. Not just Sony’s inability to have supply meet demand, but also a few problems with the hardware itself....

If you’ve been avoiding headline news, and the slew of memes, for the past few days, then you might not know a ship has been stuck in Egypt’s Suez Canal. The blockage has resulted in a backlog of ships waiting patiently for it to be moved out of the way....

PureArts has announced a pair of high-quality replicas from the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. While a male and female version of the protagonist V will be available, PureArts has only given us a glimpse of the male version so far. Following up on the wildly successful and acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt RED’s foray into the cyberpunk setting has been hotly anticipated. Originally slated for a release next month, the game has been delayed until September, and fans are frothing at the mouth for new content – and though a statue may not be exactly what they are after, it does give us something else to look forward to....

Rage 2 is out now, and while it’s a fairly straightforward open world FPS for the most part, there are some quirks to it that have left players confused. For example, Rage 2’s fast travel system has been confusing as it requires players to be near their vehicle for it to work, and it seems some have also been stumped when it comes to changing their armor in the game....

Thunderbird is a defending operator in the FPS video game Rainbow Six: Siege with the unique ability to place down a Kona station which acts as a healing device. The Kona station is capable of healing your teammates multiple times, but it can potentially do the same for enemies that get within range of it. Gearbox promised that Borderlands 3 would eventually have crossplay, just not when it launched back in 2019. Then a year after release, Gearbox arrived at PAX Online to announce Borderlands 3 crossplay coming in 2021. Now it’s 2021 and we’re finally getting good news on crossplay. But not if you’re a Vault Hunter currently playing on either of Sony’s consoles. “Good News: An update for Borderlands 3 has been prepared for release that includes full crossplay support across all platforms,” announced Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford in a tweet earlier today....
