Returnal, the upcoming PS5 exclusive that is currently in development by Housemarque, may release have had its release window leak, if an ex-PlayStation employee’s resume is to be believed. Returnal was one of the several PS5 exclusives that was revealed at Sony’s PS5 showcase back in June. The game appears to be a suspenseful sci-fi third-person shooter featuring roguelite elements. The game’s official trailer, which dropped when the Returnal was first announced, shows a female protagonist who crash lands on an alien planet and dies in a mysterious attack, only to wake back up and relive the horrifying experience again and again until she can break the cycle....

With the Xbox Series X showing off a number of incredible videos over the last few days, all eyes turned to what the PlayStation 5 would show in the wake of its impressive competition. Expectations only grew when Sony announced that it would indeed be streaming a brand new “deep-dive” into the PlayStation 5 for today, March 18, with many assuming the company would finally display its next mainline console. Rhythm games oversaturated the market in the 2000s as Guitar Hero and Rock Band released multiple entries each year to compete in a previously untapped genre. After Rock Band 3 released in 2010, however, Harmonix recognized the player fatigue and went on hiatus from the main series – but still supported its game with a steady stream of DLC songs. Last week, after months of industry speculation and demand from fans, Harmonix confirmed that its flagship series would return from sabbatical with Rock Band 4 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year....

Fans of Pro Evolution Soccer have long been awaiting the game’s move to Nintendo, and this dream may be on the verge of coming true. With PES switching game engines, the game may come to the Nintendo Switch. This process is now more likely with the change in game engines from the Fox Engine to the Unreal Engine. Originally, the Fox Engine was touted as a project to ‘become the best engine in the world’ by Konami, but it has been abandoned for the next generation of PES games....

Animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) calls for Twitch streamer Alinity to be banned from the live streaming platform. Alinity came under fire last week when footage surfaced of the streamer throwing her cat. In a post on Twitter, PETA tried to get the attention of the Twitch support team, asking the company to “take a stand for cats” and to ban Alinity from Twitch “immediately....

For the PC players of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the popular battle royale game has introduced its latest limited-time event. Ghillie Crossing, as it has been titled, is for the “sneakiest of snakes” and focuses on stealth, crossbows, and melee weapons. Notably, however, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players who want to partake in the event only have from May 24, beginning at 7 PM PDT, to May 27 at 7 PM PDT. Since the event focuses on the aforementioned combat styles, only crossbows and melee weapons will spawn, ghillie suits will appear alongside other world loot, and there will be no vehicles spawns....

If you’re not happy with the PlayStation 5’s white/black/blue color scheme (which Sony seems fairly committed to as the official console colors), then you should know that the recent PS5 teardown video and various leaked reports indicate that the PS5’s faceplate will be removable. In fact, there’s at least one company (PlateStation) that is already offering a few custom PS5 faceplate designs that you pre-order ahead of the console’s November 12 release date....

When Sony and Insomniac Games announced Spider-Man: Miles Morales back during the PlayStation 5 reveal event, a lot of fans figured that it would be a full game featuring the mixed-race web-slinger. However, multiple parties involved with Spider-Man: Miles Morales have since made contradicting comments that have left fans confused as to what they should expect. In response to this, Sony has definitively addressed the situation, stating that Miles Morales will indeed be a standalone title, and that it will focus on telling Miles’ Spider-Man origin story....

For the Pokémon franchise, the Kalos region was a major turning point for both the anime and the mainline RPG series, with Ash returning to a state of mind that wasn’t simply hitting the reset button on his decades of experience, and Pokémon X and Y introducing both Mega Evolution and the Fairy-type. Unusually for the franchise, Kalos is the only region that never received a sequel game, though Galar is looking to go the same way as it utilizes DLC packs rather than an expanded secondary game....
