Yesterday, Taiwanese indie developer Red Candle Games announced that Devotion would be coming to GOG.com. The game would have been sold for the low price of $16.99, which frankly would have been a steal for the psychological horror game. And then it kinda all went to hell. Once news of Devotion’s rerelease became widespread, GOG started receiving “many messages from gamers” about the controversial title. GOG never said what those messages contained, but it likely was more the volume of those messages rather than the content that spooked them off....

Prior to launch, Naughty Dog acknowledged that The Last of Us 2 would be a divisive game, and so far that prediction has proven to be correct. While professional critics have showered The Last of Us 2 in praise and the game has been a massive sales success, there are some very vocal detractors who have spoken out against the title for one reason or another. The Last of Us 2 has even been review bombed on Metacritic, dropping its user score to an abysmal 3....

Kinetic Edge - from developer SCT - is a physics and puzzle-based racing game that looks every bit as chaotic as it is neon. The game is slated for a February 5, 2021 release. The actor behind Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Johnny Depp, is currently in the middle of a very public libel case against The Sun. Depp is suing the news outlet for defamation because it published an article calling him a “wife-beater,” despite evidence to the contrary. The publicity surrounding the case has caused Disney to shy away from Depp, as is evident by the fact that it has two different Pirates of the Caribbean movies in the wings that don’t have Johnny Depp — the face of the franchise — involved....

Team Plasma, the evil team that debuted in Pokémon Black and White, has a long history of being considered one of the more interesting evil teams in the Pokémon series, as they are presented as a somewhat benevolent force in the Unova region in their introduction. This facade quickly falls away to reveal their true intentions, where they become the main antagonists for both of the generation five games. Although having only appeared in a handful of mainline Pokémon games so far, there is a wealth of information and lore surrounding Team Plasma, particularly in Black 2 and White 2, that can be easily missed if players are only focused on the gameplay....

Starting today, Pokemon GO players have a new big, bad level 5 Raid Boss to takedown and add to their collection. Dialga is a very tough Steel- and Dragon-type Pokemon that will be a great addition to battle rosters going forward, so players will definitely want to take some time to put together a reliable crew for defeating the new boss. Pokemon GO’s August Community Day starring Magikarp has only recently ended. However, Niantic has announced the four contenders for the subject of next month’s Community Day. In order to decide the next Community Day subject, fans will have the chance to vote on which Pokemon they want to catch next. This isn’t the first time Pokemon GO players got to vote on their Community Day subject. Just earlier this year in May, players were able to vote on the subject of the June 2020 and July 2020 Community Days....

I firmly believe that people don’t talk about Pokemon Twilight Wings half as much as they should. Sony announces that the original, cult favorite game Psychonauts from Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions is coming to the PlayStation 4 later this year. Psychonauts will be coming to PS4 this spring, though an exact month or release date hasn’t been provided. It is likely to hit the PlayStation Store within the next couple of months, but what form it will take is still a mystery at this point. It is possible that Psychonauts on PS4 will be an HD remaster of sorts, or, and this is the more likely scenario, it will join the ranks of the other PS2 games on the PS4....
