PUBG Mobile turns three this month, and developer Tencent celebrates the milestone with a massive update. The new content includes new weapons and vehicles, a musical game mode, a CG movie, and more. The new 1.3 update to PUBG Mobile went live on Tuesday. The update’s main feature is the Hundred Rhythms mode, which players can experience now on the game’s popular Erangel map. According to the announcement, “When players queue for the new variant, they will be prompted to choose one of three special armbands on Spawn Island, which boast unique in-game powers....

GG Group, founded in 2018 by Billy Levy and Zack Zeldin with esports entrepreneur Steven Salz, has recently acquired Chaos Esports Club and Do Not Peek Entertainment. The deal adds names such as Logic, Pusha-T, Upscale Vandal, Chris Zarou and Summer Watson to its board as co-owners. In a statement, President of GG Group Ramon Gamble said it hopes to address issues of racial injustice and disparity within the gaming community by signing members of underrepresented communities to Chaos’ non-competitive roster with the help of leaders in entertainment, media, tech, fashion, gaming and professional sports....

Rayman Legends is finally getting an official Switch release in China, following hot on the heels of its board approval in March. The game is expected to launch on April 15 and will retail for RMB 134 ($20 USD). Rayman Legends will also get a free demo in the region, giving players a chance to test out the game before dropping money on the classic platformer. Originally released in 2013, Rayman Legends garnered positive reviews from nearly all critics and quickly became one of the best platformers released that year....

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to review the THX-Certified Razer Opus Headphones, which was one of the lifestyle and gaming brand’s first products aimed at appealing to a wider audience than just gamers. While it was originally canceled, PewDiePie decided to change the label to hiatus instead and announced in a recent video the day that he will be going back to Bro Land, his Minecraft world. Minecraft has shown itself to be a popular game on the YouTube platform, but there aren’t many video play throughs that have been more popular than PewDiePie’s series of the game....

With the announcement of Pikmin 3 Deluxe for Switch a few weeks back, Nintendo delisted the digital version of Pikmin 3 from the Wii U eShop. This was similar to its strategy with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. It released a port on Switch and then removed the ability to buy the cheaper, albeit inferior, version on its older console. Does Nintendo just hate money, or is it trying to trick consumers into paying more for the same product?...

There are three starters available to new trainers in the Kanto region: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Those looking to have a bit of an easier time with the first gym might select Squirtle, given the fact that its Water-type moves will be super-effective against Brock’s Rock-types. Others choose Squirtle for its defensive capabilities, while others think it’s just the cutes of the three options. Water is definitely a great type to have on your team, and that powerful Blastoise will be a force to be reckoned with....

While Pokémon Sword & Shield is one of the most successful games in the Pokémon series and the Nintendo Switch, they certainly aren’t without their many flaws.
