Persona 5: Royal doesn’t just add a new semester to the game; it adds tons of content improvements. Some changes are glaring like the addition of three new confidants, while others are so naturally added in that you may never notice. Almost everything in Royal fills fluid, many players are even left thinking that the original game was more fluid than they remember. It’s not often that you find a game with improvements that fit so naturally into the story and gameplay....

The Resident Evil 3 remake launched in April of last year and, in spite of that - and Village’s own release - there are still those trudging back through the locked camera of the tank control-clad original. Yesterday, one of these players conducted a speedrun, nabbing the best time. This Nemesis speedrun was done on hard mode using only a knife, playing on an emulator for PC. That sounds like a tough trek, especially given how weak the knife is and the number of bosses that have to be toppled....

No Team Rocket themed event in any game would be complete without at least an appearance from the big man himself, Giovanni. Therefore, it was no surprise when it was announced the Pokemon GO Team Rocket event would feature a battle against Giovanni with a new Legendary. Players will remember him as the mysterious Viridian City Gym Leader in the original Pokemon Red and Blue games who was always missing in action until near the end of the game....

Of all Pokemon types, the Fighting-type is the one generally lauded most for the heavy amount of physical damage it can deal out to opposing Pokemon. Starting on Tuesday, July 7 Pokemon GO trainers are going to have an exciting new rotation of Legendary Raid Bosses to battle and add to their Pokedex. The iconic trio of draconic Legendaries from Pokemon Black and Pokemon White have been rotating their way through the mobile AR game and the next battle kicks off with the spotlight on the third and final piece of the set: Kyurem. In order to secure the exciting new Pokedex entry, Pokemon GO trainers are going to have to figure out how to beat the final third of the trio....

There aren’t too many Pokemon from the Unova region in Pokemon GO that have their shiny forms implemented. Thankfully for shiny collectors, Roggenrola and the rest of its evolutionary line have had their shiny forms for quite some time. While shiny collectors in Pokemon GO will usually want the shiny forms of any Pokemon they can get their hands on, there is something special about the Roggenrola line. This is due to how Roggenrola’s evolutions, Boldore and Gigalith look in their shiny forms....

Earlier in the summer, Team GO Rocket was all over the Pokemon GO map thanks to a handful of aggressive takeover events. The Rocket activities has quieted down since GO Fest 2020 came to a close, but the world is never truly safe from Team Rocket scheming. Two of the enemy faction’s most iconic villains are about to return to the game with some increased encounter rates for a limited time only in case players want another chance to battle against Ash’s longtime antagonists....

Players can now participate in Pokemon GO’s August Community Day starring Magikarp. This event will last from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in players’ local times on August 8th, 2020. By going into Pokemon GO’s in-game shop, players can purchase the Making a Splash Ticket for $0.99 USD. This ticket will give players access to Special Research Tasks that can only be completed while the August Community Day is active....

Last month, it felt as if Pokémon GO players were practically barraged by event after event, and this month has been no different. No one is complaining, though, as events are vital to the life of the game. In compliance with this never-ending event trend, Niantic has recently announced and began yet another Eggstravaganza event, making several Pokémon who hatched from 5KM or 10KM eggs hatch from 2KM instead. However, it remains unknown whether or not every Pokémon that can hatch from the higher-tier eggs has a place in the event....

Xbox Game Pass is adding a range of great-looking new games in January 2021 to kick off the new year. Major games including fighting game Injustice 2, the ARPG Torchlight 3, and the haunting adventure game What Remains of Edith Finch will be available this month. One other January addition appears to have snuck under the radar, however. Developer Other Ocean Interactive announced that its social deduction game Project Winter arrives on Xbox Game Pass later this month....

Fittingly enough for a movie about bringing back the dead, Carrie Coon has revealed that her character, Proxima Midnight, was originally planned to appear in Avengers: Endgame. Coon said the plan fell through due to scheduling conflicts, which may be puzzling to anyone who remembers seeing Proxima in Endgame. What gives? As one of Thanos’ several minions, Proxima Midnight played a vital role in the story of Infinity War, helping collect the various Infinity Stones and fighting for Thanos in the climactic battle of the film, only to be slain by Scarlet Witch....

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds rose to prominence during its time in early access, popularizing the battle royale genre in the process. Now developer PUBG Corporation has released a new infographic with dizzying statistics that show just how much PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was played in early access. While in early access, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sold over 26 million copies across all platforms, and it smashed Steam’s concurrent users record, with 3.14 million people playing the game at one time....

Ubisoft Montreal’s Rainbow Six Siege came out in 2015 and, since that time, the community for the online tactical shooter has benefited from a steady influx of updates and new content. And the game’s development team intends it to keep going strong for several years to come, with a next-gen upgrade five years to the day after the game’s release and even a rumored physical deluxe edition of Rainbow Six Siege for the PlayStation 5....

Season 2 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 is finally here and kicking off with an event that takes players to the neon future. Starting Tuesday, August 4, players will have access to MUTE Protocol, a limited-time special event that puts a futuristic spin on the shooter’s Secure Area game mode. The event is takes Secure Area to a glitzy, neon drenched version of the Tower map. Five attacking players must shut down MUTE Protocol by hacking a set of terminals, while five defending players must work together to prevent the attackers from completing their mission....

Apex Legends is about to get ranked arena play. The news comes courtesy of Respawn founder and general manager Vince Zampella and Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier during today’s EA Play Live 2021 Spotlight. Arenas first arrived with Season 9 as a new 3v3 game mode. Rather than teams of three battling it out in a giant battle royale map, smaller maps pit matched teams against each other in fast and furious combat....

A new study with over 1,000 participants found those who play Rainbow Six Siege were – on average – smarter than all other gamers. It also shed light on the average IQ of each platform, with PC scoring the highest and mobile coming in last. Behind the study was a group of psychologists, working in conjunction with Royal Panda. Participants were given a four-part IQ test after answering a survey about their gaming habits....

The latest Red Dead Online update has been something of a disaster. Since it released, players have reported towns devoid of NPCs, horses running in place in the sky, and lots more breaking the experience for those that just want to live out their cowboy fantasies. Luckily for them, Rockstar is rolling back the most recent update on PS4 and Xbox One until it can be tidied up. Rockstar made the announcement via its official support Twitter page, linking to a blog post detailing what went wrong with the update, ranging from animal spawns to network connectivity issues....
