Playing through the first Red Dead Redemption will give players a look at John’s life after the gang. John is tasked with working with the Bureau of Investigation to bring down his former friends – Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella, and Dutch Van Der Linde. During the story, players can decide to perform tasks that help John redeem himself. Some of these tasks can be simple like finding items for someone, while other tasks require John to put his life on the line....

2018’s God of War was one of the fastest selling games of the last generation and a huge hit for Santa Monica Studios. The teaser for the next game promises that “Ragnarok is coming,” while the last game’s secret ending showed Atreus having a vision of Thor arriving to confront him and Kratos at the end of Fimbulwinter. The actor who played Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, Roger Clark, is rumored to be taking on the role of Thor....

The latest trailer for psychological horror Remothered: Broken Porcelain by Stormind Games and Darril Arts is out, and it looks simply terrifying. Broken Porcelain is the second game in the Remothered trilogy by Italian studios Stormind Games, the first one of course being 2018’s Tormented Fathers. The latter snuck onto the horror scene and proceeded to win over the hearts of many fans of the genre as a kind of spiritual successor to Clocktower, with some good ol’ Silent Hill undertones thrown in too....

Emerging from a stone slab as a reference to the Stone of Scone (alternatively called Stone of Destiny or the Coronation Stone) once used in coronations of the monarchs of Scotland, these enemies also go by Stones of Scones. But before you make them your Persona, you first encounter them as Shadows or more specifically, Treasure Demons....

Part of the replayability of Persona 5 is going through and completing the requirements necessary to obtain all the trophies in the game. While not an essential part of beating the game, these trophies do represent a mastery of the game and are necessary for 100% runs. While some trophies are obtained simply by playing the game naturally, others require a major strategic effort to obtain, and some will require multiple playthroughs for the player to even have a chance to try for it....

A petition asking EA to include Women’s World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe as the cover athlete for the upcoming FIFA 2020 game has nearly reached its goal of 2,500 signatures. Sitting near 1,800 signatures at the time of this publication, and steadily climbing, the petition is on pace to reach its goal within the next day or so, and it’s safe to assume that it may even surpass that goal....

Just days after the Japanese release of Phantasy Star Online 2 in July 2012, Sega announced that it would be bringing the MMORPG to the west in the immediate future. Seven years later, many fans are likely to have given up on the idea of a Phantasy Star Online 2 western release, but all of these players’ hopes have just been restored thanks to a new Phantasy Star Online 2 trailer that was shared during the Microsoft E3 2019 press conference....

Battlecruisers is a real-time strategy game where you face off against dramatic silhouettes of naval vessels in deadly combat. Textures are hard, so what if you just got rid of them entirely? That’s basically what New Zealand game devs Mecha Weka did with Battlecruisers, their debut game about AI-controlled navies duking it out in a post-apocalyptic water world. Everything in Battlecruisers is just a dramatic silhouette, making the whole game appear like you’re playing during a never-ending sunset....

Ah, yes, the Cloud Strife of Pokémon. Charizard is likely similar in recognizability to Pikachu at this point with just how much representation it has gotten since the release of the original Pokémon titles. Ever since the first Charmeleon evolution in Pokémon Red & Green and Ash’s Charizard in the anime, this pseudo-dragon has been an absolute icon for Pokémon battles around the world. Charizard has changed a ton in the past 20 years, with multiple different forms, moveset changes, abilities, and stat adjustments....

You would assume that a franchise like Pokémon with a primary gameplay mechanic of turn-based battling would have its Fighting-types be the cream of the crop, but that’s not always the case. Often the Fighting-types are the ones that struggle to make the rosters of trainers as they opt for creatures they find more interesting. This is unfortunate considering there are a host of Fighting-type Pokémon that are more than capable of making a difference....

Throughout human history, people have looked at animals and wondered, “What would happen if I crossed this animal with something similar, but different?” This is how we got the liger (a tiger and a lion, also sometimes referred to as a “tigon”), the zonkey (a zebra and a donkey), and the ever-popular beefalo (a cross between a buffalo and a domestic cow). But perhaps the most interesting hybrids ever created were not real, breathing creatures, but fictional, digital ones....

The 8th generation of Pokémon was full of Pokédex controversy during Sword and Shield’s initial release. With the introduction of the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs plenty of Pokémon have been added to the Sword and Shield dex, and a couple of those additions happen to be brand new Pokémon! Or… at least new Galarian forms of old Pokémon, which for many fans is just as good! Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra expansion brings legendary Pokémon back to the forefront with Dynamax Adventures that allow players to catch old legendaries (and their shiny variations), as well as opportunities to be gifted and catch other more exclusive legendaries like Cosmog and Keldeo....

Pokemon GO players around the world can currently only gain PokeCoins in one or two ways: Buying them from the Shop or earning them by defending Gyms for extended period of time. That is going to change in the near future, once the new PokeCoin system that is being tested in Australia gains a public release. The new system allows players to also earn PokeCoins through other daily tasks and activities, aside from Gym defense....

Pokemon as a franchise does a lot of things great, but as with anything it isn’t void of criticism or critique. There are plenty of parts of the franchise that fans and experts alike agree that should be fixed to better reflect the modern state the series is in. Many times this has to do with Pokemon typing and how a good number of Pokemon seem to have the wrong type, whether that be a single-typed creature or one with a secondary-type that makes no sense....

July is here, which means Pokemon GO players are in for a whole month of excitement. To kick things off, players who have saved up seven Field Research stamps can claim their Breakthough Reward and head into July with a brand new Snorlax. A few weeks back, Niantic confirmed that Snorlax, equipped with Body Slam, would be the encounter reward for July’s Research Breakthroughs; but the first day of the month is always a little tricky....

When Niantic introduced more Gen 3 Pokemon to Pokemon GO, fans were delighted that two of their favorite characters would be added to the game. Seviper and Zangoose, two iconic feuding Pokemon, would be regional exclusives available on two different sides of the world. But there’s more good news: The regional exclusives have now moved locations. Confirmed by reports from the Pokemon GO community, Seviper is now available in North America, South America, and Africa, while Zangoose is available in Europe, Asia, and Australia....

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is advising residents of Columbia, South Carolina to be on the lookout following a string of home burglaries in the area. The police department says that the serial thief has been targeting homes and taking off with their video games consoles and other small electronics. The sheriff’s department says that an “unknown” number of thieves have been targeting homes in the northeast Columbia areas. At least seven different homes north of Sparkleberry Road (an area near the intersection of Interstate 20 and a school called Spring Valley High School) have been affected....

Sony has remained relatively tight-lipped on the PlayStation 5’s design thus far, so fans were pretty surprised when Sony revealed the DualSense, the PlayStation 5’s controller. The DualSense is a revamped version of the DualShock, with a more ergonomic design and a neat two-toned color scheme. However, that design has been somewhat divisive, with some wishing for a simple, solid black design for the new controller. Custom DualSense designs from fans have filled in the gaps to some degree, offering mock-ups of special editions of the controller, from basic color swaps, to elaborate Cyberpunk 2077 themed ones....
