Even though Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has been losing players ever so slowly following its peak of over 3.2 million concurrent players in December 2017, it’s clear that PUBG Corp. has no intention of giving in to its battle royale competition and will not go down without a fight. The game recently received its 30th update, which may provide players with just enough reasons to be interested in jumping back into the fray for that ever-elusive chicken dinner....

DreamHack, a gaming and esports community that has been around for the past quarter-century, announced via Twitter that the highly anticipated 2020 DreamHack Festivals will be postponed to 2021. Last year, the 2019 DreamHack festival tour consisted of 11 game-filled festivals spread out over eight countries and three continents. In January of 2020, DreamHack was planning conventions in Leipzig, Anaheim, Dallas, Valencia, Montreal, Rotterdam, Hyderabad, Atlanta, and Sevilla. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be....

Three days ago the Steam forums were hacked by a group calling itself “FknOwned.” They placed an advertisement on the forums for their own website promising “general discussion sections, hacking tutorials and tools, porn, free giveaways and much more.” At first it was just thought to be a stupid prank which resulted in the defacement of the forums. Unfortunately, it seems that the group is making good on its promise of ‘much more’ as the Steam forum hack situation has become much more serious....
