PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has over 15 million players around the world. While that means good things for players looking to find games, it also means that some players feel the need to use cheats in order to gain an advantage over the rest. Thankfully though, developer Bluehole seems to be on the case, as the company uses the BattlEye anti-cheat technology to stamp out cheaters from its game. Today, the BattlEye Twitter account confirmed that its technology has helped to ban over 322,000 cheaters from PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and this figure continues to grow on a daily basis....

Based on a recent job listing, it appears that Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking to adapt its major video game franchises for mobile platforms. The listing is for the position of ‘Head of Mobile, PlayStation Studios, SIE’ in San Mateo, and will require the successful candidate to develop a mobile product roadmap for a period of three to five years. “As Head of Mobile, you will own and develop the mobile games strategy for PlayStation Studios and help build a foundation for future growth opportunities....

The Pokémon world is vast, even in the main series of games. However, the dozen or so towns and cities in Kanto can’t even begin to compare to the enormous world of Kanto in the anime, which has countless locations that are visited by Ash and his friends at various times. From the long stretches of grassland between towns to the entirely-new cities that don’t even exist in the games, Kanto in the anime is full of new places to explore that would be fantastic in the games....

Niantic has released a holiday-themed ad for Pokemon GO that reveals more Poke Balls are coming to PokeStops. The ad features Pokemon semi-trucks loaded with Poke Balls delivering to PokeStops all over the world with upbeat holiday music playing in the background. The official date of the update is not revealed, but the ad says that more Poke Balls will be in PokeStops this holiday, which likely means the update will hit in late December....

The countdown to Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto continues this week as players race through some exciting Hoenn Celebration Week challenges and take advantage of the increased spawns, special Egg hatches, and exciting Battle Raid bosses that are currently in place.
