Both Persona 3 and Persona 5 are greatly innovative members of the series. While Persona 3 moved the series away from Atlus’s other Shin Megami Tensei games, Persona 5 made its own shift with new combat mechanics and a totally unique visual style. Neither of these games are bad, but there are definitely some strengths and weaknesses when these games are compared. These are the five key reasons why Persona 3 is the stronger entry in the franchise, and five that show how Persona 5 is the best of the series....

Overwatch Contenders team, Square One, just bolstered up their roster by adding Phi as one of their DPS players. Phi should make a great addition to Square One as a dynamic DPS player ready to make his mark in North America Contenders. Phi recently comes over from Ex Oblivione, a Europe Contenders team that has found some solid success in the beginning of their 2020 season. He was also a member of Team Germany for the 2019 Overwatch World Cup where they fell just short in the preliminaries to Team Russia....

Earlier this year, it was reported that Microsoft were planning to buy out PlatinumGames, the studio behind Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101. The deal never went through due to unknown reasons, but rumors have begun to circulate that Microsoft is still attempting to acquire the studio. These rumors have even reached the ears of Platinum’s head producer Atsushi Inaba, who said in an interview that not only has Microsoft not discussed anything of the sort with them, but that it would be counter-intuitive to the direction Platinum is currently taking....

Platinum Games is no stranger to over-the-top action titles. If anything, they are one of the most recognizable names in the industry when it comes to this. The newest addition to their catalogue of impressive action showcases is what looks to be a monster-slaying romp called Scalebound. The trailer premiered as part of the Xbox E3 2014 media briefing and represents a new IP from Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games that will see its first title releasing exclusively on the Xbox One....

PlatinumGames, known for Bayonetta, has released its very first mobile title, World of Demons, which is out now exclusively on Apple devices as part of the Apple Arcade subscription service, but it can be bought separately. You can play this on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac right now. Joining Apple Arcade alongside World of Demons is NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition, The Orgeon Traill, and Star Trek: Legends....

The video game equivalent to The Oscars, The Game Awards, is coming up this week. It includes a fan voted award for Game of the Year, which also has an award decided by game industry professionals. Today the final five nominees were announced, and it has sparked so much discussion on Twitter that “GOTY” is trending, along with some of the nominees. The Game Awards will be taking place on Thursday and is bringing some serious star power with it....

Since the very first months of the mobile phenomenon, Pokemon GO has always taken cheating very seriously. The system for identifying (and defining) cheating and spoofing has evolved a lot over the first few years of the game’s life, but the company seems to have a good warning and ban system in place at this point. Starting over the weekend, many Pokemon GO players who claim to play according to the rules started receiving ban warnings as if they had been spoofing their location or breaking the rules in some other way....

There are plenty of new updates Niantic has made to Pokemon GO since it first came out, such as the inclusion of the Ultra League. And now that Pokemon GO season seven is starting strong, many trainers will be able to participate in the competition once again. For any unfamiliar trainers, the Ultra League in Pokemon GO pits trainers against each other with a CP level cap of 2,500. When Raid Battles first launched for Pokemon GO they carried with them a level requirement that, for most casual players, was quite steep. No one can seem to agree whether it’s adorably derpy or annoyingly useless, and its laughable infamy has made it one of the most memeable Pokemon around....

Game Rant checks out the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee, and the end result appears to be a familiar and innovative trip down memory lane for eager fans. It’s been a tough trek for Banjo-Kazooie fans in recent years, but a sliver of hope arrived last year via a Kickstarter campaign for a project called Yooka-Laylee.
