Ever since the announcement of the PlayStation 5 last year, Sony has been hyping the next-generation console’s beefy internals and all the awesome games that are slated to launch alongside it. However, two important details about the PS5 are still a mystery, and these are the console’s price and specific release date. Bethesda kicks off its E3 2016 press conference by announcing Quake Champions with a CG trailer, marking the first new core game in the series since 2005. At least year’s E3 event, Bethesda unveiled the return to a classic FPS franchise with the well-reviewed Doom reboot. At this year’s event, the company announced a new entry in another classic FPS series, in the form of Quake Champions, which will be the first new Quake game since Quake 4 released in 2005....

New cosmic horror game Quantum Error will convince you that firefighters are not the right emergency responders to fight otherworldly demons. From TeamKill Media comes their sophomore title, Quantum Error. Their first game, Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris, arrived on PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One last November and didn’t make much of a splash. A dark fantasy survival-horror game, Kings of Lorn certainly looks neat, but Steam has scant reviews and Metacritic is likely sparse....

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War’s two new operatives, the two most iconic Johns of the ’80s, Die Hard’s John McClane and Rambo’s John Rambo, will cost £16.79 each - that’s a whopping £33.58 for the pair. What’s worse is that you only have one month to buy them. At least Rambo is shirtless. While these prices aren’t out of the ordinary for Call of Duty DLC, the time pressure imposed on players means many will have to either break the bank this month or miss out on new content....

Hackers are becoming a major issue on Red Dead Online. In the last few months, they have been blamed for cheating, harassing players and engaging in racist attacks. Now, hackers are disguising themselves as streamers in an effort to get them banned. In the last two weeks, a Red Dead Online hacker or hackers have posed as various streamers to frame and ban them. Clips on Twitch show streamers attempting to try out Red Dead’s new Naturalist update, only to have their session ruined by the suspect....

It looks like Marvel’s Spider-Man won’t be the only game receiving free content this week as Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Online will be getting free content and in-game bonuses in celebration of Independence Day in the United States. Rockstar is kicking off the celebration with 30% bonus cash and XP, followed by new clothing, discounts at various stores, and a new free “Respective Bow” Emote. Red Dead Online hasn’t quite received the same level of content that has been added to GTA Online, however, Rockstar has managed to maintain steady updates with new weapons and missions added frequently following the end of Beta back in May....

The Red Dead Online community boasts a lot of passionate and creative players, including those who are passionate about multiple games and create fan crossovers. One Red Dead Online player used the game to pay homage to the iconic Irish immigrant Shay Cormac from Assassin’s Creed Rogue. The Whims of Fate are not with us as Persona 5 Strikers won’t have a demo in Western territories, despite a Japanese version being available. Nintendo Life spotted the news after an RPGSite preview by Cullen Black was published. Black asked Sega’s communication manager for Atlus Ari Advincula if there were any localization plans for the PS4 and Switch demo, and she said no. Advincula did say that they hope this changes as they get closer to launch....
