The nonstop November events in Pokemon GO aren’t showing any sign of slowing down. This week brings a fresh Battle Raid rotation alongside the start of the Pokemon HOME Celebration event. This festivity in the mobile AR experience is jam-packed with features and bonuses to help celebrate the new PoGO/Pokemon HOME integration. The event kicks off today and players have until November 23 to enjoy the features and bonuses. Alongside the new Battle Raid bosses and chances for shiny Meltan and shiny Slowpoke encounters, the HOME Celebration also delivers an exciting Timed Research storyline....

Many future Spotlight Hour events for Pokemon GO have been recently announced. With time always moving forward, the last of the September Spotlight Hours has come with the Skitty Spotlight Hour taking place today on September 29th, 2020. This event will be available for all Pokemon GO players at 6:00 pm in players’ local times. Players will need to act fast during the event, however, as it will end at 7:00 pm in players’ local times as well....

Niantic CEO John Hanke promises that the Pokemon GO developer will take steps to eliminate Gym poaching from the game, hopefully alleviating one of its major issues. During the Pokémon GO panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, Niantic CEO John Hanke had a lot he wanted to address, from planned improvements to the game to its development from proof of concept to finished product. However, Hanke also didn’t want to leave the Pokémon GO players out in the cold, and therefore addressed some of their questions and concerned as part of a Q&A session....

The long wait for a new entry in Valve’s popular Half-Life franchise feels never ending. Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s competitive asymmetric FPS, underwent some major balance changes back in early April. One of the Operators who benefited the most from these reforms was Attacker Ying, who’d been considered seriously under-powered by a lot of the Siege community before the buffs. Unfortunately, Ubisoft went a little too far in bringing Ying up to a competitive level and left her in a state that many players considered to be overpowered....

Though it has been out for more than a year, Red Dead Redemption 2 is still a popular game, and so is its online mode, Red Dead Online. Most of that is due to developer Rockstar Studios’ continued updates– like the jumping challenges for Leap Year– and Rockstar just released a new one. Rockstar is introducing four new Showdown maps to the Featured Series in Red Dead Online. Not only that, but gamers who play this week’s Featured Series or any other Showdown mode will get double XP until April 13th....

It’s hard to believe that Red Dead Redemption 2, the critically acclaimed sequel to Rockstar Games’ cult classic title Red Dead Redemption, has been out for almost two years now. Though, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for a little over half a year. Since that time, players have noticed quite a lot of bugs, glitches, and other technical issues included in the PC version. However, Rockstar Games has now put out a patch that hopefully addresses these issues....

Just a reminder: after today, you won’t be able to catch Gigantamax Pikachu in Pokémon Sword & Shield. The limited-time event to catch Gigantamax Pikachu ends today at 23:59 PM UTC (that’s 8 PM EST). If you still haven’t caught your huge Pikachu, best get out into the wild areas of Sword & Shield and find a max raid event, pronto. There’s no telling when Gigantamax Pikachu will return, if ever....

PETA is protesting Animal Crossing: New Horizons once again - and this time, they’re back with a full-on PR stunt with a TikTok video, plenty of Twitter hashtags, and some very bizarre motivations. When New Horizons launched back in March, the animal rights organization took to the interwebs to release their own “Vegan Guide to ‘Animal Crossing’” which was filled with ridiculous rules (e.g. no fishing, no bug catching, no digging up clams, etc....

Rare’s Battletoads features a small handful of three-player co-op achievements, and since the game doesn’t support online multiplayer, some players have had to take creative measures in order to earn these achievements by themselves. One player, QuixoticRocket, had the ingenious idea of taping chopsticks across the buttons of three controllers to control all three Turbo Bikes at once. Battletoads has three achievements that require three-player local co-op, an achievement hunter’s worst nightmare....

To commemorate Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury’s launch, Nintendo unveiled an event for Super Mario Bros. 35, a battle royale version of the original, 2D side-scroller. Players have until tomorrow to reach the end and beat Bowser a staggering 3.5 million times. However, the event, while it has been going for six days, only has 13 hours left, so players have less than a day to slaughter two million more Bowsers… that’s unlikely to happen, but if they pull it off, everyone who participated by defeating at least one Bowser will get 350 My Nintendo Platinum Points....

Get excited Fable fans. The game’s next installment just inched a little closer via the announcement of its lead writer. It feels like a lifetime ago when Xbox and PlayStation refused to tell us anything about their respective new consoles. In reality, we actually knew very little at the start of this year. Each company gradually leaked out little details throughout the year including launch titles, console designs, and eventually the price, although that took a while....

Hermen Hulst has denied Sony’s acquisition of Housemarque is an indicator that PlayStation is in an arms race with Xbox. PlayStation revealed it has expanded its family this week by acquiring Housemarque. Housemarque is the Finnish studio behind Returnal. Although it has been developing PlayStation exclusives for years, the studio was never owned by Sony. That has now changed following the conclusion of a deal that reportedly got set into motion back in 2020....

Along with the introduction to the island-inspired region of Alola, the sixth generation of Pokémon strayed away from the traditional Gym setup and brought a new game-changing battle feature to the table. Rather than winning Gym Badges from Gym Leaders, trainers in the Alola Region earn Z-Crystals after completing Island Trials and certain story events. These Z-Crystals are used together with a trainer’s Z-Ring to perform power Z-Moves. Individual Z-Crystals and Z-Moves are designated for certain types or species, which only makes them more unique and fun to use....

The Pokemon Company is once again finding itself apologizing to the more vocal members of the fandom. The most recent incident involves a retread of previous grievances with Pokemon Sword and Shield, now through the Pokemon YouTube web series. “Pokemon: Twilight Wings” released its most recent episode on April 21, focusing on fan favorite gym leader Nessa. It wasn’t long before some fans were outraged due to a specific Pokemon that was featured within the episode....
