Square Enix’s Project Triangle Strategy Demo is now available on the Nintendo eShop. The SRPG successor to Octopath Traveler, Project Triangle Strategy, inspired by classics such as Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics, is a Nintendo Switch exclusive slated for release in 2022. The game, which combines 2D and 3D artwork, has three nations battling for control of the shrinking resources of salt and iron. Players control a group of warriors as Serenoa, heir to the Kingdom of Glenbrook....

One of the most anticipated games coming up is Project Triangle Strategy, which was first announced during the Nintendo Direct. Currently, the demo is available to play if you have yet to check that out. The game is a tactical RPG that follows the same art style as Octopath Traveler, which was just recently released for Xbox Game Pass. Thanks to Nintendo Everything, we’ve now found that there was a Q&A session with producer Tomoya Asano that was published during Game Live Japan....

After Sony launches PS2 classics emulation on PS4, new technical analysis of the process suggests that European gamers are getting sub-par versions of emulated games. During its lifetime, over 100 million PS2 consoles were sold and the platform is home to thousands of iconic games. So when Sony confirmed that PS2 classics would be available on PS4, up-rendered to have HD visuals, PlayStation gamers were over the moon. However, now that the first set of PS2 classics have been released on PS4 including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and The Mark of Kri, players in Europe are discovering that their versions of the emulated titles actually run worse than the games’ North American counterparts....

Timing is the great unknown when it comes to documentaries. Despite the filmmakers’ best efforts to capture the zeitgeist, by the time the research is done, the filming complete, the editing wrapped, and the finished product ready, the subject at hand can be long forgotten. This is not an issue for HBO’s six part docuseries Q: Into the Storm. The series, directed by Cullen Hoback and executive produced by Adam McKay, couldn’t be arriving at a better time as it seeks to understand the QAnon phenomenon....

It is not a surprise to learn that Quentin Tarantino is a lifelong admirer of Richard Lester’s The Three Musketeers (1973) and The Four Musketeers (1974). Since releasing in “X-treme Early Access” last week, the 80s game show-infused battle royale game from Boss Key Productions, Radical Heights, has been met with a great deal of criticism. Earlier this week, a product listing for a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 was posted by MediaMarkt (a European multinational retailer), igniting rumors that Rockstar may release the much-anticipated title on the platform, as the listing offered customers the chance to pre-order the game. Unfortunately, though, the retailer has confirmed that the listing was only a placeholder and not confirmation of a PC version. In response to a recent inquiry, representatives of MediaMarkt stated that although it was true that a listing for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 had been made on its Swedish site with the option to pre-order, the listing was simply a placeholder....

The Phantom Thieves have stolen hearts once again! Persona 5 Royal has just won PlayStation’s Players’ Choice Award for the best new game of March 2020. PlayStation’s poll was launched just a week ago on April 1. Despite Persona 5 Royal’s release date only one day before, March 31, the game was able to acquire the majority of votes in PlayStation’s Players’ Choice poll. Persona 5 Royal was up against some heavy competition, with popular titles like DOOM Eternal, Call of Duty: Warzone, and MLB The Show 20 in the running as well....

During Nintendo’s February 13th Direct, the company announced a few new games. One of these titles that’s receiving notable buzz is Astral Chain, a brand new game from PlatinumGames. This one looks to be a sci-fi classic, complete with a cyberpunk city, mechs, monsters, and what appears to be a grand storyline. We’ll let the trailer do the talking. With Microsoft already pulling the curtain back on the free Games with Gold games for January 2018, Sony fans are impatient to learn what titles their PS Plus subscription will net them in the new year. While we still don’t have an official announcement from Sony itself, an image has been making the rounds on various forums that seems to leak three free games PS Plus subscribers can look forward to downloading in January....

European PlayStation fans are not going to be pleased, as Sony has announced price increases for PlayStation Plus in the region. Annual subscriptions to PlayStation Plus in Europe, including the United Kingdom, will rise 25% or more from €49.99 to €59.99 or £39.99 to £49.99. Monthly and three-month subscriptions are also being raised. Three months will be raised from €19.99 to €24.99 or £14.99 to £ 19.99 and monthly jumps from £5....

Fans of Dragon-type and Flying-type Pokémon find the best of both worlds in Dragonite who was introduced back in Generation I.
