Starting today, Pokemon GO’s Eggstravaganza 2017 event is underway and players have eight days to gain as much experience as possible before the double XP event shuts down on April 20. There are a lot of ways to score XP in Pokemon GO, but players who want to make the most of the limited time event will want to follow this particular strategy. Gamers who have power leveled through Pokemon GO using Lucky Eggs can confirm that the best strategy for gaining experience quickly is to activate a massive number of evolutions while walking around and hoping to hatch a new pokemon....

Perhaps the most controversial feature in Pokemon GO at this point are the EX Raids. These exclusive, invite-only events allow small groups of players the chance to get together and take down a special Battle Raid boss that nobody else has access to. The system is meant to provoke excitement over the chance to catch an ultra-rare Legendary creature, but mostly it has just resulted in players being angry for not receiving invites or receiving invites for locations they can’t make it to during the small time window....

It’s already been a busy summer for Niantic and its popular mobile game, Pokemon Go. While the portable pocket monster game is quickly approaching its live event out in Chicago, a recent update added a new feature called raids and also completely overhauled how players capture gyms. Unfortunately for some players, a serious bug has appeared after the update and threatens to negatively impact the experience for all users. According to Pokemon Go Reddit user LimboMon, this rare bug can strike when adding a Pokemon to a gym, resulting in either an error appearing or a situation where the added Pokemon does not occupy the gym at all....

The Coronavirus pandemic has no doubt forced many into creative ways to live out their hobbies which usually require large gatherings of people. One such creative solution is Fox Sports 1’s answer to the Coronavirus, in which it is having professional NASCAR racers take part in an iRacing eSports tournament. In a recent race, professional NASCAR driver, Bubba Wallace, actually rage quit in the middle of an iRacing game after being intentionally hit by another player’s car, and the reaction to his outburst has been mixed....

PUBG Corp. has released a new video giving fans some insight into its methods of tackling cheaters. The battle royale has struggled with a cheating epidemic since it released in 2017 and, given that hacks are constantly evolving, it’s becoming more difficult to target and punish persons looking to exploit the game in order to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Cheating isn’t limited to PUBG, though, as the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends have difficulty with hacks as well....

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is taking on the US Independence Day weekend with a brand new cowboy-themed mode. While the timing might just be a coincidence, it doesn’t change the fact that the game is taking on a most American setting. The new mode is called Showdown, and its new map is the old-timey Western Fort Truth. It even comes complete with new outfits to make you feel at home on the range....

With Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War having such a heavy focus on online multiplayer, cheaters were always inevitable. But while Activision and developers Raven Software and Treyarch have taken steps in the past to try and prevent it from happening, there have been many criticisms of the games’ anti-cheat measures to the point where some might argue that they’re pretty ineffective. The new role added to Red Dead Online, the Naturalist, will take you all across the vast expanses of the old west in search of different animals. Now that the curtain has finally been pulled off of Microsoft’s Xbox One, gamers can now focus on the content that’ll be arriving on the next-gen platform later this year. Gunfire Games’ third-person action RPG Remnant: From the Ashes was a little underrated when it released in 2019, despite receiving praise from both critics and players. But the developer hasn’t finished with the game’s post-apocalyptic world filled with monstrous creatures just yet and recently unveiled the trailer for a prequel, Chronos: Before the Ashes. Launched on December 1, 2020, Chronos: Before the Ashes offers a shorter playtime and therefore a smaller price tag than Remnant: From the Ashes....

The gaming industry is fueled by nostalgia for old games. Whether it’s porting old games to newer consoles like with Super Mario 3D All-Stars onto the Switch, or requesting full-blown remakes of classics, such as with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, gamers will never stop trying to relive the old days. This is exactly the marketing tactic Playdate is going for, but the console is aimed to be a lot more than just a blast to the past....
