The PS5, in addition to being Sony’s biggest console release ever, also boasts clean white plates that are begging to be customized. It doesn’t help the temptation to customize the console to know that the stock plates are easily removed either. While Sony famously shut down a company that had custom plates ready for players, fans are still creating their own unique customizations — including giving the PS5 the original PlayStation logo colors....

The first Paper Mario title released in 2001 for the Nintendo 64 and introduced fans to a new style of an RPG game. Though Nintendo had previously dabbled with Mario in an RPG setting in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars in 1996 for the SNES, Paper Mario wowed fans with its adorable 2D art in a 3D world style. The first title was critically acclaimed and so naturally it went on to have several sequels and became an established series....

When it comes to video game weaponry it seems like the bigger and gaudier an item is the better. From the Key Blade to the Buster Sword to the Lancer, popular franchises have used iconic weaponry not only as symbols but selling points. For the Assassin’s Creed franchise, however, creating iconic weaponry is a little more difficult. Where other heroes have no problem brandishing massive swords, axes, or guns, the Brotherhood of assassins is more focused on keeping things as non-descript as possible, hence why the hidden blade has become the series’ trademark weapon....

As one of the biggest games released in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 managed to keep players engaged for dozens of hours, even for those that stuck to the main story. However, a new leak seems to indicate that a portion of the story, or at least a bounty mission, was cut before release. An image of the mission log, surfaced by a user on Twitter, tells players to capture Esteban Cortez, the leader of the Del Lobos gang....

Atlus USA announces that Persona 5 has been delayed further into 2017 and will now launch on April 4, but will also now include both Japanese and English audio. “Let us start the game,” is looking like a poorer and poorer tagline for highly anticipated JRPG Persona 5. Today Atlus announced that Persona 5 was unfortunately receiving another delay, though not quite as severe a delay as those previous. April 4 is now the planned launch date for a western release of Persona 5, just a couple months later than previously planned....

From promotional art to its use in his Super Smash Bros: Ultimate moveset, Joker’s handy new grappling hook got plenty of attention while Persona 5: Royal was being teased. Now that the game is out, players can see this stylish new addition to the Thieves’ toolkit in action. The grappling hook is unlocked during the tutorial rush that makes up the initial half of the game’s first Palace. Shortly after Ann joins the team and you’re forced out, Morgana will present the player with the grappling hook during the next infiltration and give them an idea of how to use it - find a grappling point, press the left bumper, and off you go....

YouTuber giant PewDiePie takes a look at the vast array of clickbait-ridden videos on YouTube in an effort to demonstrate one of YouTube’s biggest problems. Clickbait is arguably one of the more annoying things on the internet, with everything from internet advertisements to YouTube videos using it to generate hits. YouTube’s biggest star, PewDiePie, is not a fan, and has released a new video expressing his frustration on the matter....

Sega has debuted gameplay footage of Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis during TGS 2020 after being first announced back in July. Fans were able to see three base Class types the game will offer as Sega demonstrated the game’s “open-field” action and gameplay mechanics for Hunter, Ranger and Force characters. Hunters are well-balanced for close-ranged combat and defense, whereas both Rangers and Force class characters are long-range specialists. All class types can utilize different class weapons options, allowing players to customize their experience to suit their character preferences....

Though it’s set in America, the whole of the series was shot in Australia with the majority of filming taking place in 2021, and many of the cast are Antipodeans and Brits as well as Americans. It’s a twisty tale of a mother who carries out an act of bravery which suddenly exposes her to a world she had long since left behind, and a daughter who discovers she really doesn’t know her mum at all....

It was finally my turn to Dungeon Master for the group of friends that have been playing Dungeons & Dragons since the start of the pandemic. Some of them had never played any tabletop RPG before the pandemic started; others had only ever played D&D, but done so for years. I said, “oh sure, I can do that. But it will cost you.” There was a shuddering wave as fear swept through them....

Details about a new feature being introduced via the PS5 have leaked, and it would seem Sony’s promise to eliminate waiting times wherever possible may hold true. When it comes to a new console, or any bit of tech really, many people might think it couldn’t possibly be improved upon when first using it. Sony has finally revealed the price and release date of the PlayStation 5. The standard version of the console that includes a disc drive will cost $499. The disc-less digital edition will cost $399. The PS5 will be out on Nov. 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. The rest of the world will get the PS5 consoles on Nov. 19. According to Sony on Twitter, “PS5 pre-orders will be available starting as early as tomorrow at select retailers....

Pokemon Sword and Shield brought so many new and exciting elements to the series that many have described it as the best game in the franchise to date.
