Drew Murray, the senior designer at Xbox’s The Initiative, which is working on a new installment in the Perfect Dark series, has left the developer to rejoin Insomniac Games. Murray, who co-founded The Initiative after 10 years at Insomniac, was a designer on the Resistance and Ratchet & Clank series, and game director of the 2014 Xbox exclusive Sunset Overdrive. Three weeks ago, Murray announced he was leaving the Santa Monica, California studio for personal reasons, saying, “my life outside of work needs more attention and headspace than I have been able to give it lately, so I’m stepping down from my role....

While arcade-style golf games have continued to be released, a true PGA simulator is something that fans haven’t had much of since the Tiger Woods games. 2K and HB Studios have teamed up to fill that gap, and while PGA TOUR 2K21 isn’t a perfect game, it is a wonderful start to a new series in golfing simulation. PGA 2K21 is a great game because HB Studios brings its golfing simulator experience and 2K brings its ability to button up a game with features and expertise that not all publishers can allow....

The PlayStation Network was hit with a DDoS (Direct Denial of Service) attack over the weekend, crippling Sony’s online services across all their various platforms. Gamers began noticing network outages starting early Sunday morning, and shortly after Sony came forward to confirm that, yes, there had been an attack. An anonymous hacker group has come forward to claim responsibility for the DDoS attack but have not said why. Furthermore, the group tweeted out a bomb threat directed at Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley’s mid-air flight, which was promptly diverted....

I’m not sure if you’ve seen the trailer for New Pokemon Snap yet (who are we kidding—of course you have), but it looks absolutely brilliant. With new graphics, Pokemon, and a plot to uncover the mystery behind the Illumina phenomenon, we should be totally hyped for this game. Considering that the original Pokemon Snap came out on the Nintendo 64 more than 20 years ago, this is a long-awaited remake, and I’m afraid that with how they chose to announce all the new Pokemon games, New Pokemon Snap is going to slip under the radar....

Where to Find Petilil Without access to the Isle of Armor, your only options are to transfer Petilil from a previous generation using Pokémon HOME, or trade with someone who already has the DLC....

Pokemon GO’s equinox event offers players the chance to hatch special eggs and earn bonus Stardust and experience points without participating in any raids. This old school event is an exciting change of pace for players who have spent the last two months battling Legendary Raids, but some of the fun has been spoiled by log-in issues. So far the Pokemon GO equinox event has been plagued by two problems. Early in the event, there was a bug that made it so that some players were not receiving the correct bonus Stardust amounts....

As Pokemon GO continues to get people socializing, a new dating service called PokéDates launches, looking to pair up players who are looking for love. Released earlier this month, augmented reality app Pokemon GO has proved so popular that is already changing the ways in which people socialize. The free to play title, which sees players head out into the real-world in order to catch Pokemon, is seeing people make new friends and connections with Game Rant previously writing that Pokemon GO breaks the ‘solitary experience’ of being a gamer....

The Pokemon Company announces that daily quests will soon come to Pokemon GO, giving players extra experience and items for catching Pokemon and other related tasks. It’s clear that Pokemon GO’s recent Halloween update provided developer Niantic with a significant boost in revenue. But overall, there’s no question that the free-to-play game’s active player base remains much lower than what it was at earlier this year, with some analysts estimating that the game may have lost as many as 15 million daily users....

Pokemon may have seemed like a bit of an oddity upon its debut in the 1990s, but now it’s one of the most successful properties of all time and there’s no end in sight. The Nintendo Switch’s Pokemon Sword & Shield are the newest entries in the core series and allow a whole new generation of players to experience its magic. Sword & Shield, along with their DLC expansions, bring a lot of new Pokemon into the mix, but some are more memorable than others....

In the Pokemon TCG, Mewtwo & Mew-GX is one of the most interesting cards in the format. It doesn’t actually have a non-GX move for an attack, and its GX move is fantastic. It can still attack using regular moves with its Ability Perfection. Perfection lets Mewtwo & Mew-GX use the attacks of any Pokemon-GX or Pokemon-EX card either on the Bench or in the discard pile. It does still require the proper energy to use these attacks, however....
