Several days ago, Sony revealed that Call of Duty: WW2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be June’s free PlayStation Plus games. Although both titles were previously leaked in the days leading up to the official confirmation, next month’s free games somehow took many by surprise, especially since the free titles offered to PS Plus subscribers were lackluster to some degree in the last few months. This month, Sony added Cities Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 to the service, and fans soon expressed their disappointment with Sony....

Chinese Dota 2 side PSG.LGD has added EHOME offlaner Ren “old eLeVeN” Yangwei to their ranks on a loan, the team announced earlier this week. While old eLeVeN joins as position three, former offlaner Yang “Chalice” Shenyi has become the team’s main carry. This move comes a month after the team’s removal of long-term carry Wang “Ame” Chunyu. PSG.LGD was once known as the best Chinese Dota 2 team, and one of the best Dota teams in the world....

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Sony are partnering to bring a special gift to battle royale fans playing on PlayStation 4. Starting soon, PUBG players will be able to earn an exclusive set of skins based on Guerilla Games’ PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn. The skins will be exclusive to the PS4 version of PUBG and while they’re entirely free, they do ask players to accomplish certain challenges during the limited time event....

Only a couple of days ago, the PUBG Corporation announced that for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, it would be adding a dynamic map called Paramo, a feature that certainly helps make the battle royale more distinct against its rivals, like Fortnite and Apex Legends. Today, PUBG Corporation confirmed that Paramo will be added to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as part of the Season 9 update, which will release on October 21st for PC and October 29th for consoles and Stadia, with test servers becoming available on October 14th for PC and October 19th for consoles....

Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode, known simply as Red Dead Online, is now available to the masses. Besides online free-roaming, it includes distinct multiplayer match types that aspiring outlaws can participate in, including a battle royale-style game mode called Make It Count. However, it may not be immediately clear to players how they can play battle royale in Red Dead Redemption 2. To play the Make It Count battle royale mode in Red Dead Online, players first need to complete the introductory mission....

For such a prolific series, Persona in its modern format has never really followed the rules compared to traditional JRPGs. Phasmophobia has fans enraptured by its unique gameplay elements, but one of the most crucial aspects of it is giving some players issues. One of its many claims to fame is how players can use their mic to communicate with ghosts inside the game, but a “mic not working” error has been appearing frequently for some players preventing this pivotal interaction. Solgaleo and Lunala are the mascot Pokémon of the Sun & Moon games, their original concepts and very interesting designs makes them very desirable Pokémon to have on our team. And just like any other flagship Pokémon, it’s hard to decide which one we should include in our team. Of course, we can have both, but favoritism and team comp are a thing. We will cover how effective are they in a competitive situation, as while it’d be interesting to say who’s better based on their looks or Pokédex entries, it’d make for a very biased list....

Update November 14th, 2018: Some Generation 4 evolutions are out now, and can be evolved with a “Sinnoh Stone” you get from completing a week’s worth of research quests. Eevee evolutions, along with Gallade and a few others, are not yet available. Pokémon Go is back and better than ever. While many people left the game due to the server issues and lack of content, those issues are a thing of the past....

Of all the gym leaders in Kanto, Sabrina the Psychic-type specialist may be one of the most interesting, particularly in her anime and manga versions. Often portrayed as a quiet but powerful trainer, she is most well known for her part in the Pokémon anime where she turns the main characters into dolls. As a remake of the generation one games, Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee brings Sabrina back as one of the harder gym leaders in the game, though drops most of the darkness surrounding her character in favor of mystery....

Pokémon Sword and Shield released last year in November, and though fans are enjoying the game, the fandom has always been unhappy that not all of the previously released Pokémon were made available in it. The first batch of DLC recently released for the game, the Isle of Armor, and with it a few of the older generation Pokémon returned. Localizing games isn’t an easy feat for the translators as the meaning behind some things can get lost between languages. This means the localization team has to go off of what the most probable meaning is. Not only do they have to translate but they also must keep in mind our different cultures....

On Friday, Pokemon GO fans the world over received a pleasant surprise when Niantic took to Twitter to announce that Trainer Battles, a much-requested feature, would finally be coming to the mobile game. While the company did not provide a specific date for the new Player vs. Player system’s implementation, they did confirm that, with Trainers Battles, three distinct Battle Leagues will be added to Pokemon GO. Battle Leagues are a new mechanic that puts restrictions on the Combat Power of the Pokemon that can be taken into Trainer Battles....

Pokemon GO is notorious for introducing Shiny Pokemon to its AR-world through a slow drip. While most existing species have made their way into Niantic’s title, the game still lacked Shiny forms of even Generation 1 Pokemon up until the recent GO Tour: Kanto event. As of the Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto event that occurred this past week, Shiny variants of all 151 of the original Kanto Pokemon can finally be encountered in-game....

A new sweet collaboration is coming between two perfect things: Pokemon GO and Starbucks. Announced this week in select Asian markets, the drink tycoon’s various locations will be turning into both PokéStops and Gyms . Trainers on the go can now play the game while enjoying their favorite beverages and snacks. This new partnership will be taking place in Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. No news yet on whether this could become a reality in North America....

Ditto has always been one of my favourite Pokemon, and the series as a whole has never really done enough with its potential. Why was I, a young trans kid, drawn to the Pokemon who could change its appearance at will? Probably the same reason Mystique was always my favourite comic book character - a complete mystery. I don’t think Ditto is the most underused Pokemon around - I’ve already explained why that’s Unown - but what’s most disappointing is that the Pokemon series clearly understands what makes Ditto great; it just hasn’t tried to implement that into the games in any meaningful form....

The backpack is currently up for pre-order and will receive worldwide shipping starting October 3. Marnie is a huge fan favorite among Sword & Shield fans, so it was probably only a matter of time before she got some themed merch!
