The Harry Potter series is rightfully beloved by millions of children and adults who grew up reading or watching these movies. Back then we had no care other than to be sucked into this beautiful and appropriately magical world with endless possibilities. However, any ardent Harry Potter fan worth their salt has to have run into a large number of plot holes as they read the series repeatedly. It is unfortunate, then, that many of these plot holes are quite large that identifying them will make you realize just how absurd many matters of the Harry Potter world are and how they would never be possible if logical thinking were to be applied....

Choices. Life is full of them. Nintendo recently released the first of the two-part expansion pass for Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Isle of Armor DLC added new story content, a new area, new features, new Pokémon, the return of older generation Pokémon, as well as new Galarian and Gigantamax forms too. The unique characters are an often underappreciated part of Pokémon games. There’s always something to love with the colorful cast of gym leaders and rivals each game delivers. Some casts are weaker than others, like with Pokémon X&Y, but most of the recent titles have done a good job fleshing out its cast and making them all integral parts of the world. In particular, Sword and Shield did an excellent job with its characters and making them memorable....

With each new generation of Pokémon comes a curious new gimmick. In recent years, we’ve seen Mega Evolution and Z-Moves, both of which were powerful mechanics that changed the ways players built teams and approached matches. Both of which also appear to have been left behind, at least for the time being. Will the Dynamax/Gigantamax mechanic stand the test of time, or will it be as short-lived as its three-turn span in battles?...

Beware of the cantankerous Basculin when fishing in Pokémon Sword & Shield. They’re a cranky bunch. There are actually two types of Basculin: red-striped Basculin and blue-striped Basculin. Although they’re technically the same species, these two Basculin do NOT get along. They’re constantly fighting their fishy underwater battles even though they’re entirely pointless and really hold back their evolution. Which might explain why they don’t have one. The magic of Wonder Trade was introduced to Pokemon Trainers in Generation VI and VII. This nifty little feature allowed Trainers from all over the world to randomly trade with each other using Nintendo WiFi. For many Pokemon fans, this sounded like a dream come true. Pokemon is teaming up with Original Stitch to offer a limited-edition, customizable polo lineup for its 25th anniversary. The anniversary polo can be crafted with eight different types of fabric, 21 embroidery options, and there’s even an option for Poke Ball-shaped buttons. The limited-edition designs will only be available until December 31 and can be found on the Original Stitch website. If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate Pokemon’s anniversary, but aren’t in the market for a polo, the two companies have also partnered to create a variety of masks, bandanas, aprons, and other shirts featuring Pokemon designs....

Although Pokemon GO hasn’t officially announced any release date for the first wave of Gen 4 monsters, the community is already busy preparing for the inevitable. Players need to stock up on the correct candy before the launch begins, so that they are ready to fill out their Pokedex with as many of the new Pokemon GO evolutions as possible when they arrive.
