The game itself is extremely ambitious, giving you access to more than 80 co-op missions alongside the main campaign, a wide array of costumes to collect and characters to play as, and a continually expanding story—to say nothing of the fact that superhero games are already expected to be big-budget blockbusters....

Pokémon Sword & Shield’s first DLC, the Isle of Armor, dropped on June 17th, bringing with it a slate of new and returning entries to flush out Galar’s Pokédex. Among the returning is the Normal-type Pokémon, Whismur from Gen 3. Whismur is ironically known as the whisper Pokémon in contrast to its predilection for ear-splitting uproars. Kalos’s regional Pokédex is the smallest of any Pokémon game. With such a small sample size, just 72 new species, all these Pokémon should be winners. Unfortunately, because X and Y also introduced Fairy-types, Mega Evolution, and Pokémon-Amie, the design space suffered. Many strange Pokémon made the cut, and are still pegged as spectacular failures today. Others are criminally weak and require at least twenty Rare Candies to be viable in battle....

The Pokemon Company has revealed its next step for its Pokemon TCG, a new expansion from the Sword and Shield series, Chilling Reign. Inspired by The Crown Tundra expansion area, Chilling Reign launches this summer on June 18. This latest drop of icy-themed booster artwork introduces over 70 new Battle Styles cards, meant especially for Single Strike or Rapid Strike decks. Legendary birds like Galarian Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno featured in the package artwork will be available, while Calyrex will also make its TCG debut....

Those who were anticipating the planned sequel Prey 2 when it was first revealed with a memorable cinematic trailer at E3 2011 haven’t had much good news of late, with the game being swept under the rug by publisher Bethesda, before being re-assigned to the newest offices of developer Arkane Studios, makers of Dishonored. Despite it being an incredibly popular title and a financial success that arguably set the precedent for the current battle-royale genre of games, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds seems to be constantly mired in bad publicity and controversy. Only a few weeks ago, the game was completely banned in Nepal following outcry from angry parents, and now the mobile version of the title has been completely shut down in China. Tech giant Tencent, which obtained the rights to distribute PUBG in China, was forced to drop the title after failing to secure a license from the government that would allow them to collect revenues from the game....
