The hype for this game is widespread and enormous but has become relatively silent with a lack of any content to go off of. While we heard last month that GameBeat’s Jeff Grubb claimed that the Elden Ring reveal wouldn’t be too far away, there hasn’t been any official statement since then. Now, an Insider at ResetEra, a video game discussion forum for journalists and developers, hints that the game will be released part of the way through 2021....

This week marked the end of an era for games industry luminary Peter Moore. After serving as corporate vice-president of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment’s business subdivision, president of SEGA of America, and head of EA Sports, Moore departed from the video game world to pursue a new career: as CEO of Liverpool Football Club. Moore marked his exit with a farewell letter and accompanying video, expressing his gratitude for the opportunities he’s had over the past 18 years....

Ubisoft Massive announces that it’s launching a free weekend to try out The Division on PC, as well as a major discount on both the base game and its Gold Edition. Although PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds developer Bluehole can’t possibly be able to eliminate all of the cheaters in its game, the studio is taking a clever approach towards players they suspect are cheating. Just recently, players with a history of using cheat software have begun to note matches with other cheaters in them. Obviously, Bluehole will not comment on how it approaches potential cheaters in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but it’s nice to see these players get some karmic justice....

It’s been roughly one week since Natsume announced the official name for Pocky & Rocky Reshrined, a reboot/sequel heading to the PS4 and Switch this fall. Originally going under the unimaginative name of “Pocky & Rocky 2021,” we now have a better look at how this long-gestating title will play. Right off the bat, it looks almost identical to the SNES original. I’m 100% okay with that, too. The visuals on display, which are rendered in a 16-bit style, look beautiful....

With the energy of Power Spots and Wishing Stars, Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing both give Pokémon the ability to grow massively in size and strength. The difference is that only certain species of Pokémon have an exclusive Gigantamax form....

Now that the Kanto Celebration is over, Pokemon Go players have been greeted with the news that regional raid bosses have been introduced into the game. The celebration event saw a complete takeover of Kanto region Pokemon, including Onix and Kabutops as Tier 3 raid bosses, and fans have been hit with further changes to available raid opponents. The legendary Pokemon Latios and Latias went live on April 2 introducing the idea of regional raid bosses to the community, and now there is a new raft of Pokemon to contend with....

With it being December, Pokemon GO has officially entered the winter season and begun its Season of Celebration event, the perfect thing for the month of Christmas and a time of kindness and goodwill towards others. Unfortunately, it sounds as if a large chunk of players aren’t feeling the festive spirit and are frustrated with a certain aspect of the game: eggs. Conan Exiles (which releases soon) developer Funcom has recently announced a new “tactical adventure” game entitled Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. It was given a 2018 release window for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s currently in development by Bearded Ladies – a team including Hitman veterans and Executive Producer Ulf Andersson, who is best known for the Payday series. As hinted by the name, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden has a post-apocalyptic setting....
