Baby, baby, baby! It looks like our prayers are finally being answers, if a new rumor is anything to go off of.

Rumors and hearsay about potential ports of Persona 4 have swirled around for a while now. First, people assumed it could come to the PlayStation 3. Then we all wagered our collective hopes on an eventual PlayStation 4 port, which didn’t come to pass.

But in recent years, as more and more PS Vita exclusives have made the jump to PC, all eyes have been on Atlus. It seemed baffling that they wouldn’t put one of their flagship titles on a more widely adopted console, especially as other games made the jump. Now, however, Atlus might have changed their tune.

That is, according to known leaker Sabi Wabii over on Twitter. Sabi, also a writer for Nintendo Soup, posted a series of cryptic tweets confirming the news. “We’ve confirmed it,” Sabi wrote. “A friend got the files. Persona 4 Golden is coming to PC.”

The thread then confirms something both unexpected and a bit more exciting to me, personally. Atlus is also putting another handheld RPG on PC, allegedly, and all signs point to it being Persona 3 Portable.

If these rumors are true, this is huge. Persona 3 and Persona 4 are two of the most prolific JRPGs in recent memory, but both are tied to consoles that have long since been retired. Not only that, but Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden were tied to the PSP and PS Vita, respectfully. While I loved both of those platforms, to call them “widely adopted” would be pretty disingenuous.

All this being said - these are still rumors. There’s no actual source yet, and without that, we can’t outright say that these titles are coming. For every actual leak, there are about a dozen half-truths, pieces of misinformation, and occasional outright lies. What I’m saying is to not get your hopes up too much, hard as it may be.

Now, if it’s true? Hell yeah. How’s about a Switch port of Shin Megami Tensei IV next?
