Whether you love him or hate him, Akechi is one of the best-written characters in Persona 5. He is the driving force behind the story and his multiple personalities make him a great villain. Akechi also has a very interesting design no matter what outfit he is wearing, which makes him a great pick for artists.

As it turns out, there is a flood or impressive Persona 5 art pieces that can be found all around the internet. This includes several drawings of Akechi that are out of this world. If you love the arts then keep reading below for some truly great eye candy.

10 Casual Crow by @Kuya

This picture shows Akechi giving his slightly disturbing look as a hand slowly wraps around his arm. From the looks of it, this is a drawing of Akechi before he reveals his true intentions to the Phantom Thieves.

This drawing was created by a Japanese based artist who goes by @Kuya. The attention to detail here is out of this world, especially considering the little hints towards Akechi’s true nature. Even the care Akechi is holding off-screen helps to complete the piece.

9 Akechi Chess by @Oemiracle

One of the few games the protagonist will play and actually lose to Akechi is chess. This is likely due to the fact that Akechi is much better at short-turn strategies than Joker could ever hope to be. The tragic character also practiced the game in order to play it with adults as a conversation piece. This drawing was created by @Oemiracle.

The user has also done a few other Akechi pieces, including a laid back drawing of him and Joker at the amusement park.

8 Akechi’s Yukata by @天結喜咲

One of the themes repeated over and over again with Akechi is that if he had encountered Joker first, he would have likely become a Phantom Thief. Not many artists capture this alternative life, but @天結喜咲 has a pretty good vision of what a normal life for Akechi would look like. He isn’t just shown with Joker though, but a friendly Ryuji and Yusuke, as well.

Akechi is even made to look like he is enjoying having a conversation with his friends.

7 Akechi’s Insanity by @べねべね

6 Akechi Double-Sided by @Miyukiko

Akechi’s hidden personality is kept well under wraps for years to everyone except Shido. While Akechi doesn’t reveal any hints of his dark nature, his true self is always bubbling just under the service and ready to kill when the time is needed.

In this piece, Akechi is seen holding hands with his Loki form, who can’t wait to appear once more. This drawing was done by @Miyukiko, who did a wonderful job of including the games red color scheme.

5 Like Father Like Son by @Monaop5

Everything Akechi did was revealed to be for his father. He wanted to bring his father to the highest point in his life and then take control of him to make him suffer in fear.

While the duo was working together, though, Shido would give an order and Akechi would carry it out. This father and son bonding moment was created by @Monaop5, who displays their relationship perfectly.

Shido even seems completely comfortable with the fact that Akechi is disposing of his bloodied glove.

4 Akechi & Robin Hood by @Shoujo_Shark

Akechi takes on a pose and art style reminiscent of that found in the series Death Note. He sits on a thrown with Robin Hood hovering behind him, waiting to confront Joker who has approached him. This piece was created by artist @Shoujo_Shark who does a wonderful job of capturing the real Akechi acting in his fake Phantom Thief uniform.

The inclusions of the Persona arrow just help to bring this picture together as they encircle the smug Akechi.

3 Connected by Fate by @Nkyamii

Another huge theme of the game is that Akechi and Joker share a very special bond. Due to being forced to play this cruel game, their fates have been changed so that the two are enemies. This picture perfectly captures there deadly link and even eludes to the truth behind the character’s dark fate together.

This drawing was created by @Nkyamii. The artist perfectly captures that dark tone of the game through the interesting use of string and case points.

2 Coffee Break by @Asuna

One of the few things you will see Akechi doing other than chasing down the Phantom Thieves is coming by Leblanc for coffee. In this picture, Akechi is contemplating his next case while enjoying a cup of coffee.

This piece was created by artist @Asuna and perfectly captures the character’s troubled expression. They even got his casual clothes spot on. The only question is if this Akechi is waiting for a chance to take on Joker or not.

1 Catching The Thieves by @Main_kiiro

Despite the rising popularity of the Phantom Thieves, Akechi never wavered in his attempts to hunt them down. In fact, their rise in popularity was part of Shido’s plan and he calmly watched as they grew a positive public opinion.

In this drawing, Akechi can be seen contently walking out of a cheering crowd with a frustrated Sai behind him. This piece was created by @Main_kiiro, who sought to reflect Akechi’s calm demeanor.
