For some context - at the beginning of January, the start of Royal’s new storyline, Joker awakens to find reality distorted. To make matters even weirder, the only people who notice the sudden abnormalities in the universe are Akechi and Kasumi. The three decide to band together and investigate a mysterious palace in Odaiba in hopes of figuring out the meaning behind this strange reality. As they begin their investigation, they run into various shadows and must fight them in order to proceed.
Additionally, because Akechi is acting as both a Phantom Thief and the Navigator at the same time, we get to hear his own personal reactions when getting inflicted with certain ailments:
It’s also nice to see that, for someone who, only a month ago, claimed that teammates were “trash”, is finally getting around to the idea of working together. Sure, his way of bringing it can sometimes be a bit ruthless, but… baby steps.

Unfortunately, Akechi’s Navigator lines only last about two days, as the other Thieves soon reunite with Joker once they realize the truth of their reality. But Akechi’s lines have left such an impression on fans that many of them have advocated for a full Akechi Navigator DLC or some future update where players can choose which Thief can navigate the party.
While there’s, unfortunately, no official word from Atlus regarding whether we’ll ever see that, at least they blessed us with these iconic lines from Black Mask Navigator Akechi!
