Oh right, did we mention that Persona 5 Royal is currently the highest-rated game of 2020? In March, just before its global release, we reported this accolade - the fact that the game had already claimed the number one spot on Metacritic with a positively wild overall score of 96.
Since then, the astounding admiration for the game seems to have stood the test of time, because at the time of this post Persona 5 Royal is still sitting at that number one position, albeit having dropped imperceptibly to a rating of 95. The game’s profile on Metacritic proudly shows off the fact that it was awarded the title of Best PS4 Game of 2020, and the fifth most discussed PS4 game of 2020.
