The Megami Tensei series gifted us with a colorful cast of characters we are sure to remember for a lifetime in Persona 5. By the end of the game, The Phantom Thieves will have stolen the hearts of their many enemies and yours as well. It’s hard to not feel attached to this bunch of misfits.

12 Aries=Mona
He may be tiny, but he’s got spunk! Anyone would be hard-pressed to get this cat to not volunteer to fight. Aries signs get a bad rep for their aggression, but that fighting spirit is just what you need in the war against distorted hearts.
This sign is also pretty impulsive, as can be seen when Mona decides he no longer wants to work with The Phantom Thieves after they offend him. But, he also gets over that temper tantrum quickly – Aries style. And let’s be blunt here (in true Aries fashion), Mona is rather confident and always sure of himself, definitely a true Aries!
11 Taurus=Panther
Like the star sign Taurus, Panther is notably stubborn, but in the best way of course. She’s dependable and headstrong. She goes out of her way to help her friends, particularly Shiho as they both deal with the abuses of Kamoshida. Like the bull, her stance doesn’t waver and she holds her ground no matter what. That unwavering state of mind is a key quality seen in Taurus. More than that, Panther is an undeniably sensual character. Just look at that catsuit she wears! Let’s not even discuss the whip she uses as her weapon of choice, but you have to admit that’s major Taurus energy.
10 Gemini=Crow
It’s no secret Crow is a versatile and smart guy. The kid has layers upon layers to him. He’s a celebrated student, a detective and for a short time, a Phantom Thief. You bet he’s winning all the popularity contests. Gemini is notorious for being crazy and superficial. While they may have this aspect to them, they should also be noted for their adaptability.
If you’re a Gemini, then you can probably endure just about any situation and come out on top. You’re not afraid to make necessary changes to reach your goal. Gemini is also known as the “twins” of the zodiac or having split personalities. If you played the game, you know there’s definitely two sides to Crow.
9 Cancer=Noir
Cancer is the gentlest sign of the zodiac and Noir is without a doubt the gentlewoman of the Phantom Thieves. Cancer is conservative and nurturing, and you can see this from the way Noir dresses and speaks. It even shows up in the way she cares for the plants she gardens in her spare time. She can also be a bit defensive and takes great offense at perceived impoliteness. Cancerians may be sensitive, but only because they know the importance of feelings.
8 Leo=Joker
Leo has an authoritative nature. Joker’s the leader of the Phantom Thieves, and it’s only natural he would resonate with Leo. All of his friends not only look up to him, but they also seek him out specifically when they need someone to count on. That’s what Leo is all about. This fiery member of the Zodiac is a natural-born ruler and like Joker they don’t mind when others allow them to feel important or prideful.
7 Virgo=Queen
There’s no argument on whether or not Virgo is an intelligent sign. That’s just what they’re known for. It only makes sense that if you’re a Virgo, you would be Queen. Apart from her obvious wit, Queen is a useful asset for the Phantom Thieves and is highly observant. Like a real Virgo, she is a crucial determinant in the success of many of the Phantom Thieves’ adventures. Queen lays down the law and aids in steering the group in the most sensible direction for their quests of stealing hearts.
6 Libra=Fox
Fox is particularly serious when it comes to his artwork. It’s his livelihood. Like Libra, he is artistic but can be very indecisive. He tends to second guess himself when it comes to his art. Libras tend to seek out advice from others because of this trait as they always desire perfect balance.
You’ll find Fox often looking to Joker for help in his artistic ventures. On a side note, many Libras tend to be in love with beauty and the idea of beauty. This aspect is shown when Fox goes out of his way for a chance to paint the lovely Panther.
5 Scorpio=Crow
If you’re a Scorpio, you’re the clever and determined member of the zodiac. Crow fits the Scorpio archetype to a T with his tendency to lurk and probe people with ease. Guess that’s how he managed to become a renowned kid detective. He does some serious stalking on Joker before he temporarily joins the Phantom Thieves. A Scorpio likes to know all the facts and is unsurprisingly quite focused, heightening their infamous intimidation factor.
4 Sagittarius=Skull
Of course, our favorite bad-mouthed delinquent would be aligned with Sagittarius. This sign is generally quite outspoken because of their fearlessness in speaking their truth. Skull stands up for the track and volleyball teams even when they refuse to themselves. As a Sagittarius, no one ever has to second guess anything with you. You’re putting it all in the open and standing up for your beliefs with pure ferocity.
Skull refuses to wear his school uniform properly and never shies away from telling others – mainly, as he calls them, “sh**ty adults”– what he thinks. Unfortunately, this means you can be a tad irresponsible and get yourself into trouble like he does, but that’s okay. We still love Skull and his trouble-making disposition.
3 Capricorn=Oracle
If there’s one thing Oracle is, it’s tenacious! If you’re a Cappy, you’re probably resourceful and intelligent like Oracle is. Oracle, alongside Queen, is the group’s tactician. If things are looking a bit hairy for our Phantom Thieves, they can count on Oracle to keep them covered with necessary power-ups or healing relief during battle. Also, it makes perfect sense for a Capricorn to have hacking skills as immaculate as Oracle’s. While she may be shy, she’s disciplined and cunning like a Capricorn.
2 Aquarius=Oracle
Hopefully you water bearers don’t take this the wrong way, but Aquarius is by far the weirdest sign of the zodiac. But if you’re an Aquarian, you would take that as a compliment and so would Oracle. This sign may be detached and overly independent at times, and Oracle does isolate herself in her room.
However, Aquarius is highly intellectual and inventive. Oracle successfully made herself a well-known and much-feared, hacker. Plus she’s responsible for The Phantom Thieves envy-worthy comeback after the group loses its popularity. Never doubt an Aquarius’ originality.
1 Pisces=Noir
Some people look at Pisces as the crybaby of the zodiac, but they’re missing the true depth to this dreamy and compassionate star sign. Like Pisces, Noir can be impressionable. She is influenced by Mona when he becomes upset enough to impulsively leave The Phantom Thieves. That said, this only highlights her admirably sympathetic nature. She’s willing to be a confidant to Mona without question and even still cares deeply for her father despite his evil doings. Pisces is an emotional sign, and Noir is a great representation of that passionate quality.
