Overwatch Contenders team, Square One, just bolstered up their roster by adding Phi as one of their DPS players. Phi should make a great addition to Square One as a dynamic DPS player ready to make his mark in North America Contenders.

Phi recently comes over from Ex Oblivione, a Europe Contenders team that has found some solid success in the beginning of their 2020 season. He was also a member of Team Germany for the 2019 Overwatch World Cup where they fell just short in the preliminaries to Team Russia.

Square One has had a decent amount of success this year for Overwatch Contenders North America, finishing in 3rd-4th place during week one. Unfortunately, they fell short in week two to Karasuno in the quarterfinals. Phi should be a strong addition to the team after parting ways sHockWave who joined Montreal Rebellion, another great North American Contenders team.

Square One found themselves coming up short in week two of Contenders, but they should continue to compete with the top teams in the region going forward, especially if Phi can step up, be a strong addition to the team, and prove himself in North America. Square One’s 2020 season will continue in the week three trials.
