Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville might see a Nintendo Switch release on March 19, 2021 – according to a recent listing on GameFly. The mysterious listing pegged Battle for Neighborville as a Switch title coming in March but didn’t mention any further details.

Unfortunately, it seems that GameFly has since removed the game from its service. However, this wouldn’t be the first time GameFly accidentally leaked an upcoming release, as the rental service previously put up a listing for Titan Quest before it was officially confirmed by its developer. Even more interesting is a statement made by EA last year, which mentioned the company was looking at porting seven titles to Switch over the next year.

Could Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville be one of them?

Battle for Neighborville originally launched in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The family-friendly shooter seems like a perfect fit for the family-friendly Switch, assuming the team can get it running on the underpowered system. Plants vs Zombies is far from a demanding game – with any luck, it should be a fairly straightforward porting process.

We’re stilling waiting on official word from EA, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville on the Switch within the next few months.
