A new Kingdom Hearts event begins July 31 in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on July 31, which lets users play as Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Young Xehanort. Their designs will be based on their KH3 appearances. The event will last until August 16.
Like the original 2D Final Fantasy games, they are sprite-based and battle in turn-based combat in Brave Exvius. Each of them has their own special move, and Sora, in particular, has a Final Form that can be activated to unleash a devastating rush of blades towards his enemy.
Riku does a combination with his new keyblade, Braveheart, of slick attacks on-screen, while Kairi slashes her foes with well-animated sweeping movements and twirling throws of her keyblade.
Some events from Kingdom Hearts 3 are also depicted in sprite form too with 3 new cards in the game, KH13 explained. They show:
- Sora riding a wave of keyblades from those who have fallen, taking on the huge Demon Tide near the end of the game. Riku fighting heartless in the Realm of Darkness version of Destiny Islands. Sora and Kairi eating a paopu fruit together in front of a sunset.
And that’s not all! The Kingdom Hearts 1 interpretations of Sora, Riku, Cloud, and Sephiroth are returning to Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius alongside these KH3 characters on July 31.
When the event starts, there will be a collaboration event between Kingdom Hearts Dark Road and Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius. A tweet will be going out by both games, promoting the crossover, and if it reaches 3000 retweets, players will be getting 3000 Jewels, 1000 Lapis, 4 draw tickets, and 10 Special Summon tickets. Let’s hope they reach that milestone!
Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is a mobile title with an original story and turn-based combat. Like Tales of Crestoria, you collect heroes from the game franchise’s past to join your quest with a gacha-based system. In September 2019, Square Enix informed us that the game reached over 40 million downloads and gave out 9000 Lapis as a celebration of the milestone.
The game can be pretty fun, as you mix and match Final Fantasy characters in a party, and soon, we’ll be able to add a splash of Kingdom Hearts to the battle.
