From Software’s Dark Souls 3 is already renowned for its trying difficulty, and one gamer’s attempt to make Dark Souls even harder goes a little too well.

Dark Souls 3, From Software’s latest adventure in tip-toeing the line between frustrating and compelling, is one of the most successful games released this year and topped April 2016’s best-selling video game list. Part of that success stems from From Software’s conscious decision to remain true to the formula that has made the Souls series so popular over the past seven years, and Dark Souls 3 is no exception.

For some, however, the marriage of deep, rewarding combat systems and increasingly punishing levels and enemies simply isn’t enough anymore. Gamers have been playing the Souls series for long enough now that true veterans of From Software’s brand of action RPGs need to create self-imposed restrictions to feel challenged. YouTuber Slimecircle is one such player, and he recorded a video of himself attempting to beat Dark Souls 3 using only voice commands.
