Sony’s Days of Play are officially making their triumphant return, but the content of this year’s Days were leaked ahead of its official announcement.
Leaked promotional material from German retailers claimed that the Days of Play will begin May 25th and run till June 8th, and that PlayStation Plus subscriptions will be discounted by 30 percent. Sony confirmed these leaks days later with an official blog post announcing everything fans can expect from the Days of Play.
In addition to the discounted 12-month subscription for PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, a selection of popular titles will be put on sale. This year, Death Stranding, Nioh 2, and Days Gone will be making a discounted appearance, although other titles from PlayStation Hits will be going on sale. Be warned that the availability of these titles may vary between countries. Check with your local retailer to make sure which Days of Play games they have in stock, and for what prices.
Sony previously designed a unique, limited edition PlayStation Slim to promote Days of Play, but they don’t appear to be doing so this year. Still, fans may be relieved to know that Sony has announced deals on PlayStation 4 Pro and VR bundles, so gamers more interested in upgrading their hardware won’t be left out of the Days’ deals.
