One of Circhester’s two Gym-leaders, Melony seems to have snuck into the hearts of many Pokémon fans. There are a couple of version exclusive gym leaders in this generation, and much like Bea in Stow-on-Side, Melony is the unanimous favourite of her gym.
We don’t know much about her character, though that should change as the anime progresses. From what you see in the games she seems like a fairly kind-hearted trainer. Despite not knowing much about her, fans love her character. These amazing fan artists did a great job paying tribute to her character. Check out these amazing pieces of Melony fan art that are just too cute.
10 Focused - SINOHIRA RIN
Melony might seem like a nice person outside of battle, but once she’s in the gym it’s all business. Players who’ve faced her before should know just how serious she gets during battles.
SINOHIRA RIN does a great job here with portraying the intensity that Melody shows in battle. She looks focused and ready for business in this piece. The art is superb, and the attention to detail really helps tie it all together.
9 Portrait - Omiza-Zu
Fan artists get pretty creative when drawing their favourite characters. When it comes to Pokémon, they have tons to work with. Some draw trainers with their Poké companions, some draw epic battles and others go a simpler route.
Omiza-Zu does just that with this phenomenal portrait of Melony. It’s simple, but proves that you don’t need to go flashy to make great fan art.
8 Pixel Art – Kaioyoa
Pixel art and Pokémon go together perfectly, and given the series’ roots, you can expect fan artists to do this kind of thing a lot going forward. It may just be the sense of nostalgia that pixilating these new characters brings, but don’t expect this trend to go anywhere.
Kaioyoa depicts Melony with her trusty Lapras here, in all their pixilated glory. It’s quite a sight and definitely stands out as one of the more unique pieces on this list.
7 Ice Cold – NYACOII
Every Gym leader has their own unique partner Pokémon. For Melony, it’s her Lapras.
Here’s another depiction of Melony and her Lapras, this time with some more detail. NYACOII does a really nice job of portraying the stoicism of these two during battle. The cold air surrounding them is a nice touch that really helps the whole thing pop.
6 Santa Melony – coresix
This is coming a handful of months too late, but it still looks good regardless of the out of season shout out. Considering when the games came out, this was probably way more seasonally relevant when it was first posted.
But still, coresix does a great job of drawing Melony in her Santa outfit. It’s a cheery holiday piece that’ll make you smile regardless of what time of year you see it.
5 PokéPal - Nessu~
Drawing Melony together with her Lapras seems to be a popular trend among the majority of fan artists. But this time, Nessu~ tried something a little different.
While most draw Lapras on the battlefield, Nessu~ chose to portray it still inside its PokéBall. Their art style is adorable, and the whole thing is too wholesome to handle.
4 Cute As A Button – lTakkikun
Every artist has their own unique style. The great thing about fan art is that you find tons of different artists with their own take on a character, and oftentimes you see them portrayed in some pretty interesting ways.
lTakkikun draws Melony in a very moe style and the whole thing gives off a very u[beat vibe. The light colors really compliment the art and helps bring the whole thing together.
3 A Little Help From My Friends – Parororo
Instead of just drawing Melony with her Lapras here, Parororo decided to put in some extra work and just went ahead and fit her whole party into the shot. You can’t argue with the results.
Parororo certainly has a unique style, and that absolutely shines through in this piece. The art is spot on and the glossy, sparkly coloring really fits the characters its portraying well.
2 The Duo – ilsae
It’s been pretty commonplace for this entire list, and it seems that fan artists just love the pairing. We’ve seen Melony and her Lapras drawn in a number of different styles, and this is yet another knockout. This time, ilsae shows us the two of them in a style we haven’y tey seen.
Ilsae’s style is certainly unique, and stands on its own compared to other pieces on this list. The attention to detail is superb, and the coloring really fits everything nicely.
1 Besties - はちび
Ending things on the right foot here with yet another piece of Melody and her trusty Lapras. We’ve seen them drawn in a number of different styles, and this piece by はちび really sticks with you.
The art is great but not only that. The colors are beautiful and the work gives off a really nice wholesome feeling. There’s been a lot of great art on this list, and this is just another one for fans to enjoy.
