Pokémon Café Mix is a new mobile puzzle game that gives players the chance to run their very own Pokémon Café. Players must fulfill food orders from Pokémon customers by completing touchscreen puzzles that have their own unique requirements, including high scores, cleared icons, and more.
But what happens when the orders begin to get too tricky to complete? Sure, you could try again and again, but lives are limited (unless you want to spend real money on extra hearts). Rather than relying on microtransactions to help you run your café, why not take advantage of all the game’s helpful items and their effects?
Here’s a guide to all the different items in Pokémon Café Mix and each of their unique effects.
Puzzle Powers
In the middle of a difficult order and need a helping hand? Use Puzzle Powers! These are special items that can be activated after beginning an order that can assist you with clearing icons, increasing your score, and boosting your chances of completing an order.
Helping Paw
The Helping Paw clears all icons of a chosen Pokémon or gimmick on the board. This is especially helpful if you have a certain number of icons that need to be cleared to complete an order.
Whistle ⇆
The Whistle ⇆ clears a horizontal line on of icons on your board, regardless of their type. This is especially helpful if you have a lot of different kinds of icons that need to be cleared and you can get them in one row.
Whistle ⇅
The Whistle ⇅ clears a vertical line of icons on your board, regardless of their type. This is especially helpful if you have a lot of different kinds of icons that need to be cleared and you can get them in one column.
Leader Bell
The Leader Bell turns a chosen Pokémon icon into the leader Pokémon’s icon across the board. This is especially useful if you’re looking to boost your score, as many same-type Pokémon icons can help you create a high-number link, which, in turn, will reward you with a high score.
Boosters
If you know you’re about to go into a particularly difficult order, using a booster before beginning the order might give you that extra support you need to complete it. Boosters will be activated as soon as you begin working on the order and can help give you a strong start.
Skill Plus
Skill Plus gives you a Café Skill icon at the start of the order. The Café Skill will take the place of one Pokémon icon that is already on the board.
Megaphone ⇆ Maker
Similar to the Whistle ⇆, the Megaphone ⇆ Maker will give you a horizontal Megaphone icon at the start of the order. The Megaphone will take the place of one Pokémon icon that is already on the board.
Megaphone ⇅ Maker
Similar to the Whistle⇅, the Megaphone⇅ Maker will give you a vertical Megaphone icon at the start of the order. The Megaphone will take the place of one Pokémon icon that is already on the board.
Pokémon Café Mix is currently available for the Nintendo Switch and iOS and Android mobile devices. Both versions of the game are currently free to play.
