Pokémon GO’s spotlight hours have proved so popular that they will be returning every single Tuesday in April.
Niantic has recently been running Pokémon Spotlight and Mystery Bonus hours in Pokémon GO. Similar to Community Days but as the names imply, they only last for 60 minutes. Niantic revealed this week that feedback following the previous Spotlight and Bonus has been so positive that it will combine the two and run a series of them.
There will be four events throughout April, each featuring a different Pokémon and a different bonus. They will take place between 6 pm and 7 pm local time every Tuesday this month. The first hour will take place on April 7, 2020. The Pokémon spotlighted will be Purrloin, which means it will spawn more often, and trainers will get double XP for every Pokémon caught.
The following Tuesday will feature Magnemite, and the week after that Wobbuffet will be the featured Pokémon. Trainers will earn double Candy during both those hours, for catching Pokémon in the first hour, and for transferring them during the second. The final event, which will take place on April 28, 2020, will spotlight Pidgey and there will be double XP up for grabs for every Pokémon evolved.
