Pokemon Masters is about to make some big changes in the next update. One of DeNA’s Pokemon mobile titles will be altering how users play the game that would ultimately change some of the play styles. One of these changes includes a stamina bar and a newly renovated Training Area.

Released in 2019, Pokemon Masters ran similar to the main series of games with one major difference where players can collect various Pokemon trainers from throughout the entire franchise onto their team. For every battle, it is set as a 3-on-3 match that users can partake in by selecting their favorite trainer to fight with. In order to compete, players must earn five badges. Besides the story, players can also partake in limited-time events to earn rewards and prizes.

As we reach a year since the game’s launch, DeNA is celebrating the milestone with a huge update to Pokemon Masters. According to the official website, the new update will give players a stamina bar and will be required to play through certain areas in the game. This feature will be restored by one every six-minutes with a chance to raise the stamina cap through earning EP and increase their rank. Another feature being added is the Type Skills, which allows All Sync Pairs to have a skill that can activate when matched with a team with the same elemental type. Even the Training Area will change its name to EX Plaza, which will be divided into four sections.

The in-game currency, called Move Candy Coins, will have some added bonuses. Once players are able to collect a certain amount of coins, they’ll be able to exchange them for 5-star Move Candies that will help power up Sync Pairs. Each of these Move Candies come in four types, so players may have to choose wisely in which ones will benefit their Pokemon teams. Anyone can obtain these coins through events, like the previous Ghost Training special that happened a week ago. More details about the new items were made on the Twitter Page.

News of an update was previously teased back at the end of 2019 when the developers said that they hope to release more rewards and a raised cap level. With these new updates, players can expand on their gameplay in Pokemon Masters and try out new ways to level up their Sync Pairs.

The game is now accessible to play on both iOS and Android devices.
