Like any Pokémon game, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX has a number of shinies that player can come across in their adventure. These special Pokémon are stronger than standard versions making them a bit of challenge to face.
They can also be convinced to join the party, though this is a rare occurrence on top of a rare occurrence. For players interested in tracking down these elusive Shiny Pokémon it’s important to know which ones are even capable of having shiny versions and where to find them.
28 Butterfree
This Flying/Bug has a shiny version that is found in the Howling Forest. The shiny version has green eyes, pink hands and feet, and the wings are a bit more curved with a pinkish tinge.
27 Ninetales
The shiny version of the Ninetales is located in the Northern Range. Instead of the whitish fur it’s covered with gray fur. Like others on the list its typing doesn’t change due to it being shiny.
26 Rapidash
Rapidah is different from it’s standard version with blue eyes and a blue fiery mane instead of the typical organish red. This shiny version can be encountered in Mt. Steel.
25 Electrode
This Electric Pokémon has a shiny version that can be found in Mt. Faraway. It’s replaced the red upside down Pokéball look for a blue one.
24 Exeggcute
Exeggcute is a Grass/Psychic type that has a shiny version found in Wyvern Hill. Instead of a cluster of pink eggs it’s now a cluster of yellow eggs.
23 Exeggutor
Exeggutor, the evolved form of Exeggcute has a shiny version that appears in Pitfall Valley. It has brownish leaves instead of green and it’s trunk is more of a goldish color than the familiar brown.
22 Starmie
Starmie is a powerful Water/Psychic that has a shiny version in the Grand Sea.
It’s arms are more of a blue color, the jewel in the center is blue instead of red, and the crest surrounding it is red instead of yellow.
21 Magikarp
The shiny version of Magikarp is located in the Marvelous Sea. This floundering fish is now a stark yellow instead of the familiar red.
20 Gyarados
The shiny evolved form of Magikarp, Gyarados, can be encountered in the Waterfall Pond. Instead of the iconic blue color it’s a vibrant red color.
19 Ditto
The amorphous Ditto has a shiny version that can be found wandering the Buried Relic area. This shapeshifting Pokémon has a light blue coloring instead of the standard purple blob.
18 Dragonite
There is a shiny version of Dragonite that can be encountered rarely in Mt. Thunder. The shiny version is a stark contrast from its usual appearance. Instead of a yellow dragon with blue wings it’s now a dark green dragon with purple wings.
17 Hoothoot
The Flying/Normal type Hoothoot has a shiny version that can be found in the Murky Cave. It’s similar to its original version but instead of brown feathers it now has bright yellow feathers.
16 Noctowl
The shiny evolved form of Noctowl can be found flying around in the Lapis Cave. Like it’s lesser evolved form it has traded the brown feathers for yellow ones, though its wings are orange.
15 Ampharos
The shiny version of the Electrical Ampharos can be found in the Sinister Woods. This normally yellow Pokémon is now a vibrant pink color with a blue gem on its forehead and softer brown eyes.
14 Azumarill
Azumarill is a Water/Fairy type with a shiny version found in Mt. Blaze. This rabbit-like creature is now a bright yellow instead of the familiar bright blue.
13 Sudowoodo
Sudowoodo is a Rock Pokémon that can be shiny when found in the Desert Region. Its brown skin is now a grayish yellow and it’s green fists are red.
12 Aipom
The grinning monkey Aipom can have a shiny version appear in the Solar Cave. The shiny version has bright pink fur and skin where the original has purple fur and yellow skin.
11 Ambipom
Ambipom, the evolved form of Aipom, has a grinning shiny version in the Great Canyon.
Like it’s lesser form it has traded the purple fur and yellow skin for pink fur and pink-tinged skin.
10 Espeon
The Psychic evolution of Eevee is noticeably different in it’s shiny form. The purple fur has been replaced with a bright green fur. This shiny version can be found in the Remains Island.
9 Wobbuffet
A shiny form of Wobbuffet can be encountered in the Darknight Relic. This Wobbuffet has had some noticeable changes in its appearance. Namely it’s bright pink instead of blue and it has red llips in the center of its mouth, almost like lipstick.
