If you like polo shirts because they are comfy and easy to wear, then Original Stitch has something for you with their new line of Pokémon shirts.
Original Stitch is a clothing company that has released Pokémon-related clothing in the past. These items were originally meant for the Japanese market, but overseas demand has led to international releases for the company’s other items. Clothing released by Original Stitch generally feature the original 151 Pokémon from Pokémon Red & Blue, partly to capitalize on the Pokémon nostalgia boom that was created by Pokémon Go.
Original Stitch is adding a new line of Pokémon clothing to its range. According to Game Press, Original Stitch is releasing unisex polo shirts that can be customized by the customer. The customization options include the fabric color, sleeve type, collar shape, button color, and the Pokémon that will be embroidered on the shirt.
You might need a Meowth with Pay Day if you want one of these shirts for yourself, as they can be pretty pricey. The custom Pokémon polo shirts cost eighty-five dollars for one Pokémon while adding two more will add ten dollars to the price. Delivery costs a further fifteen dollars unless the customer orders multiple shirts. Customers should expect to wait three to four weeks for delivery, due to the COVID-19 situation.
The nostalgia boom for Pokémon has yet to die down, as The Pokémon Company recently announced that it had its second-best year ever in terms of sales. Pokémon Sword & Shield are some of the best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch and only a handful of other mainline Pokémon games have sold more than them. Pokémon as a whole is the most profitable media franchise of all time, so there is clearly a market for expensive polo shirts with a couple of Pokémon on them.
