Generation 7 had some of the best Pokémon in the franchise and these starters are definitely no exception. They’re all very powerful and cool in design so players quickly fell in love with them. Fans can’t help but admit how much they love these creatures and it’s no surprise because they are really amazing.

This list will go over some of the best attributes of each of the creatures and rank them based on which stage they are at in their evolutionary line and which of the 3 is stronger and more well designed. Without further ado here are the best creatures generation 7, ranked!

9 Litten

This little Kitty sure is cute but it’s not much in the way of strength. Fans of this creature were disappointed when it turned out that it wasn’t very powerful in its first form and its design is quite basic compared to the other two more interesting creatures.

It’s not the worst starter Pokémon ever however it definitely could have been improved a bit and it seemed that the developers didn’t want to take their time with it.

8 Rowlett

This little owl is an adorable creature and lots of players loved it for its dual Grass/Flying- type and powerful move set. It definitely got some praise for being one of the best creatures in the entire region and although it’s not the most powerful in its current form it becomes much stronger in its evolutions.

Hopefully, this Pokémon will get even more love in the future because fans absolutely adore it and it is very cute. This is one of the best creatures in the franchise and fans realized that quickly.

7 Popplio

This is the best of the 3 first form starters because of how adorable it is and it’s strong move set. It could most likely best any of the other starters in battle and that this is no surprise because it is shown as being very strong.

Although its appearance may look weaker then the other starters it is very powerful and it is often underestimated in battle giving it an advantage. Usually, Water-type starters aren’t especially strong however this one definitely takes the cake for being a powerful one.

6 Dartrix

This 2nd stage bird is cool looking however it doesn’t have much in the way of strength. It could have been more powerful however the developers seemed to not want to make it too overpowered because its evolution was going to be very strong.

Fans still love this bird anyway if they picked it as their starter but isn’t a fan favorite. This Pokémon will go down as one of the worst second stage evolutions in the franchise and that’s not too surprising because a lot of second stage Grass Pokémon do.

5 Brionne

This evolution of the Water-type starter is powerful and extremely cool to look at. Its unique design became a fan favorite around most fans and it was one of the key reasons that players picked the Water starter instead of 1oneof the other two.

Hopefully, the developers add more Pokémon like this one to the franchise in the future because it was quite the treat to be able to battle with such an amazing looking creature such as this one.

4 Torracat

This is the first evolution of Litten and it is quite powerful. It’s definitely the best second stage evolution because it has an expansive move set and it is just starting to gain its power.

It didn’t take long for fans of this creature to realize that they could easily defeat the other two starters in battle without breaking a sweat. This will be remembered as one of the best second stage evolutions for any starter Pokémon ever and it is no surprise because it was quickly loved by fans.

3 Inceneroar

This giant tiger is a testament to how strong Pokémon that are themed after cats can be. Although it is not a Fighting-type, it definitely has a lot of fighting themed abilities and even though it’s not the strongest final evolution for the generation 7 starters it is still a powerful creature that should be feared.

Humans definitely don’t wanna go toe to toe with this creature because it is quite the powerhouse in terms of physical strength. Fans should be careful when deciding whether or not to get this creature because although it’s powerful it won’t do much against the other two more powerful starter creatures.

2 Decidueye

This Grass-type owl soars through the skies with passion and strength. Although one of the other starters is still more powerful than it has a unique typing and an expansive move set which makes it a prime candidate for any trainers team.

It’s worth noting that this creature can use its flight in battles to its advantage and that puts it at a much better spot then the Fire tiger because it’s physical attacks won’t do much to the bird while it’s in the sky. This creature definitely deserves the title as one of the best final evolution starters in the franchise and even if it’s not the best in generation 7 it’s still an amazing Pokémon.

1 Primarina

This awesome creature has both one of the most unique designs for any starter ever and the power to defeat most other Pokémon in the Alola region. Fans should consider this when going up against it because it is not a Pokémon to be trifled with if a trainer isn’t also very powerful.

Trainers need to be strategic when fighting this creature because even though it is a powerful Pokémon they can still defeat it if they bring an Electric or Grass-type to the battle that has better speed. This Pokémon has already been praised as one of the best creatures in the region and even for players that don’t like it they can’t help but admit that the Water-type has a beautifully unique design and powerful training potential that any trainer can see!
