The Lake of Outrage is the final area in the wild area you unlock in Pokémon Sword and Shield and it is home to some of the rarest and strongest Pokémon in the game. When it comes down to it, you probably took a couple of quick passes in this region of the map and caught a few strong Pokémon, but the rarest ones don’t come out so easily.
There are a number of Lake of Outrage specific Pokémon with a less than 5% chance of popping up as well as items that can only be found here. These Pokémon would be difficult to trade for or evolve on your own so your time might be best spent here. So here are 10 things you missed in the ake of Outrage inSword and Shield.
10 Ditto
Ditto is so valuable in a Pokémon playthrough, especially if you are unable to find previous forms of fully evolved Pokémon. This thing is a reading wonder that can help you with those issues. It is an alright Pokémon by itself in battling with its replicating technique. with a 10% chance of finding it in the Lake of Outrage, it’s worth the extra effort, as an added plus it will be a high level being there.
9 Rotom
Rotom was once extremely rare, get once per Pokémon game Pokémon, even by some players it is considered a legendary. Now you have a 2% chance of finding one out in the wild in this region.
There is a stark contrast from its first appearance in Diamond and Pearl where it was below level 20 where here it is well above level 50. While not impossible to find if you spend some time there it’s a wonder that Pokémon Professors can mass-produce phones for Rotom with them being such a rare resource.
8 Obstagoon
This Kiss inspired Pokémon with its tongue hanging down is really hard to find in the wild, it’s even one of the rarest Pokémon in the Lake of Outrage. It can be no wonder if you never find it from your 1st to 10th pass-through of the place, especially if it randomly snows or rains which brings down the chances of finding it. It can be found in both Sword and Shield at about the same percent, but if you need a nice Dark-type physical attacker, make sure to look out for an Obstagoon.
7 Eiscue
This Shield only Pokémon only ones with a less than 5% chance to find it no matter where it is. You may not have even known that you could find it in the Lake of Outrage that its chances are so rare. This special Pokémon comes with a real funny look, with it being a skinny almost real-life penguin with a huge icicle sculpture head in the shape of a television face. Some Pokémon Sword players may not even know its existence in the Pokedex yet if they haven’t found a trainer with one.
6 All Evolution Stones
If you look behind each of the tall rocks in the Lake of Outrage you will find a different evolution stone. Given that you will not commonly find them throughout the game with the random chance digger brothers, this is an easy and reliable source for rare stones as each and every type is right here for the taking. Many of your Pokémon might be waiting on dusk or shiny stone which can be found here, so it’s best that you check back so you can complete your Pokedex or get your ideal Pokémon.
5 Drakloak
Drakloak is one of the rarest and strongest Pokémon on the Galarian Pokedex with 600 total base stats and a devastating type matchup of Ghost and Dragon. The rate of finding one can go as low as 1% but it will save you from having to scour for an equivalently rare Dreepy, which can also be found here, and evolving that. Drakloak is a great competitive Pokémon and cool in design.
4 Focus Sash
One item you may have missed is an important Focus sash in the Lake of Outrage. The focus sash can be a lifesaver in a G-max Raid battle or fighting a strong opponent so you don’t get wiped out. It would be an important item to have to be able to equipped when needed. If you’re curious to look, You can find this item right near the southern shore.
3 Hitmontop
Hitmontop is the hardest form to evolve Tyrogue to because it requires equal defense and attack stats. If you aren’t into EV metagame then just finding one at above level 50 sounds pretty nice, however, it’s one of the rarest chance finds in the area so be prepared to search for a while. Compared to what you think it won’t be spinning around on its head on the overworld but actually just walking around like a person.
2 Morpeko
If you are missing this week’s “Not Pikachu,” you can find the very Hangry creature on a rare encounter in the Lake of Outrage. Morpeko is a rare Pokémon to find, it’s obvious Nintendo wanted a caught and mouse type chase down for this Pokémon as players try to search out this Pokémon that you only encounter with your rival, Marnie. It will be difficult to search out, but high level in turn. You will just have to search out the little black dot in the weeds next to the hundreds of Golurks.
1 All Eevee Forms
Different weather will have you finding different types of Eevee evolutions at the Lake of Outrage. They are higher chance encounters than all else on the list but each one only comes out in certain weather making it difficult to find each one, per se you don’t want to use the stones you find there and evolve the Eevee on your own. Most of the time you will find it raining or snowing so what will show up Glacian and Vaporeon wandering around the rocks you’d find the evolution stones. If you are determined you can find all of them.
