The luminescent mushroom Pokémon Morelull and Shiinotic debuted in Gen VII, but they’re back again in Sword & Shield. There are definitely more interesting Fairy-type Pokémon appearing in Galar (including the lovable Impidimp), but you’ll need to catch a Morelull and evolve it to fill out your Pokédex. Read on to find out how.
Where To Find Morelull In Sword & Shield
Morelull spawn in the Wild Area’s Giant’s Mirror and Hammerlocke Hills, but only during fog. Once the weather sets in, look for it as a wandering overworld Pokémon.
How To Evolve Morelull Into Shiiontic
Morelull evolves into Shiiontic at level 24. Shiiontic also has a chance to appear in the Glimwood tangle, or Lake of Outrage during rain.
What Shiiontic Does In Battle
Shiiontic is your typical Grass-type Pokémon that deals in status effects. It can have the Effect Spore Ability, which punishes opponents who come into contact with it with poison, paralysis, or sleep. It can also learn various powders and spores that dish out those same effects. For damage-dealing, Shiiontic has access to the Grass-type staples like Giga Drain. Give it Moonblast for a Fairy-type attack, and you have an effective (if boring) Grass/Fairy-type Pokémon.
