Munna is a psychic-type ‘Dream Eater’ Pokémon, which evolves into the marginally larger Musharna. Despite their slightly ominous habit of feeding off of people’s dreams, both Pokémon can be highly effective on the battlefield.
With a catch rate of 190, the only real question is where to find one. That endeavor is made rather easy in Pokémon Sword and Shield, so let’s get right into it.
Finding Munna
Munna is partial to foggy weather and spawns fairly often in the overworld. Trainers’ best chance at finding one is in the East Lake Axewell, in the southern region of the Wild Area. Here, Munna has a 60% chance of appearing as an overworld spawn.
Trainers can try their luck in the tall grass throughout Axew’s Eye, Giant’s Cap, and Rolling Fields. There’s a 40% chance of random encounters in these regions of the Wild Area.
Munna can also be found roaming the overworld of the Wild Area - primarily during foggy weather- in Bridgefield, Giant’s Seat, Slumbering Weald, and Stony Wilderness.
Evolving Munna Into Musharna and Recommended Moves
Munna requires a Moonstone to evolve. It’s best to wait until Munna reaches level 48 to give it the Moonstone. This is when the Pokémon learns its last hard-hitting move, Future Sight.
Sticking solely to learned moves, Munna acquires Magic Coat at level 20, which reflects status effects at its opponent. This comes in handy as Munna hasn’t learned many damage-driven moves yet. However, Munna begins learning decently high-damage moves at level 24 that are worth trading out.
