Scraggy is a scrappy Dark and Fighting -type Pokémon that can be a versatile member of any trainer’s team! From cute lizard to headstrong fighter, Scraggy only gets better when it evolves into Scrafty. If you are in need of a strong Fighting-type, here’s where you can find Scraggy in Sword & Shield.
Where To Find Scraggy In Sword & Shield
Unfortunately for Pokémon Shield players, wild Scraggy is a Pokémon Sword exclusive catch. The only way Shield players are getting Scraggy is from trades. Fortunately for Pokémon: Sword players, there are numerous locations with a high spawn rate.
During overcast weather, players have a 60% chance of finding a Scraggy in Giant’s Mirror, Dusty Bowl, Stony Wilderness, and Giant’s Cap. Another convenient location is the Bridge Field, which has a 10% chance of finding Scraggy during an overcast.
In terms of any weather type, Galar Mine No. 2 and Motostoke Outskirts have very consistent spawn rates of 15% and 35%, respectively.
How To Evolve Scraggy Into Scrafty
Scraggy does not require any special pre-requisites for evolving, and trainers simply have to raise Scraggy to level 39 in order to evolve it into Scrafty.
What Scrafty Does In Battle
Scrafty’s learned moves are not the most exciting selection, with your run of the mill Dark and Fighting-type moves. However, what makes Scrafty’s moves interesting is the wide array of teachable moves this Pokémon can learn. From moves like Knock Off, Dragon Tail, to Zen Headbutt, Scrafty can be effective against numerous types.
Scrafty quite resilient with high Special Defense, Defense, and decent Attack stats. It can also have the Shed Skin Ability. Put Scrafty against bulky opponents you need to overwhelm, using moves like Knock Off to disrupt tanks relying on healing items.
Although a powerful fighter, be careful to avoid Fairy-type damage as Scrafty is extremely weak to Fairy-type.
