Yamper was an instant star when it was revealed as part of Pokémon Sword & Shield’s E3 presentation. It’s an Electric-type corgi, which makes it pretty much everything the internet could ever want. Now that Sword & Shield are actually playable games with several months behind them Yamper is revealed to be… a pretty average Pokémon. But Yamper and its evolution Boltund don’t need to be pseudo-legendaries to capture hears. Here’s how to find them.

Where To Find Yamper

Yamper can be found pretty early on at Route 2, Route 4, Giant’s Mirror, Motostoke Riverbank, and Stony Wilderness. It runs around in the open, and is more likely to come out during thunderstorms in the Wild Area.

How To Evolve Yamper

Yamper evolves to Boltund at level 25. Boltund itself can be caught wild at Dusty Bowl, Lake of Outrage, Motostoke Riverbank, and North Lake Miloch. It also features in Max Raid Battles at Giant’s Mirror, Lake of Outrage, and Motostoke Riverbank.

What Boltund Does In Battle

Boltund is very speedy, and has equal Attack and Special Attack. It’s better at physical moves, however, thanks to its Strong Jaw Ability. This Ability makes its biting attacks do more damage. For That reason, Trainers should focus on giving it bites of different types. It can learn Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Crunch, and Psychic Fangs. You could even just make those four moves Boltund’s moveset and it would perform decently.
